BASTION HOUSE SCHOOL SPORTS.
BASTION HOUSE SCHOOL SPORTS. The Bastion House School Sports were beld on Saturday last, and were entirely successful. The ground was gaily decorated with flags for the occasion, and presented a brilliant scene. Perhaps not the least impor- tant factor contributing to the success of the day. was the weather, the afternoon being bright and warm, not to say hot, and the absence of a strong wind was a boon to both spectators and competitors. Among those present were: Rev. 0. J. Davies, M.A. (president), W. P. Richardson, Esq., M.A. (whose services as judge were invaluable), R. C. Taylor, Esq. (starter), J. -H. Percy, Esq. (referee), and several parents of the boys. Great credit and praise are due to Mr Myers for the able way in which the arrange- ments were made and carried out. The results were as follows: Throwing Cricket Ball (junior)—1 Csnnah, 2 R. Taylor. High Jump (junior)-l R. Morris, 2 T. Taylor. Sack Race—1 R. Morris, 2 Wynne, 3 Mason. High Jump (senior)-l Meredith, 2 Burton. Kicking Football (senior)—1 Burton, 2 Meredith, 3 Kelly. Long Jump (junior)— 1 R. Morris, 2 Macarthy. Egg and Spoon Race—1 Rowland Taylor, 2 Burton, 3 Harrop. Refreshments were provided on the ground, and at the conclusion of the pro- gramme, the prizes were gracefully distri- buted by Mrs Meredith (of Chester), a very enjoyable afternoon being terminated by cheers for Mrs Meredith, Miss Green, the Vicar, and Mr Myers, in which Bruce" joined lustily. -Å.

- The League.
The League. The championship of the North Wales Junior League was definitely settled on Saturday. Rhyl Victoria by defeating their local rivals, the Guild, making themselves quite safe at the top of the table. It is cer- tainly a very good performance for a new club, but still it cannot be denied that they have been greatly helped by good luck. 0 Prestatyn's only chance now is to secure second position, but to do this they will still have to earn three, if not four, points from their remaining matches. The Prestatynites are very like the Liverpool teams, they flatter only to deceive, for three seasons ago they worked themselves into the semi-final for the Junior Cup, only to be beaten 2-1 by Flint, whilst last season they again got to the same post, only to retire beaten, (after giving 0 a wretched display) by Flint, 2-0. Then the Flintshire League championship was 0 missed, Prestatyn only being able to come second to Mold.
The Team Discussion.
The Team Discussion. Team builders seem to be very plentiful in Prestatyn. Numerous teams, in all shapes and forms, having been sent in. Below some of these are given, but a great many are too ridiculous to publish. Committeeman" would like to see the following players don the blue and white :— Goal W. Glass, backs J. T. Williams and Pryce Jones, halves Bell Jones. Jack Jones, and D. G. Jones; forwards R. Hughes, T. Brooks, E. Holbrook, or W. Williams, W. Davies, and L. Watts. From an old player comes the following team: Goal J. Linnell, backs J. T. Williams and Pryce Jones, halves D. G. Jones, Jack Jones, and Bruoks, forwards R. Hughes, Hol- brook, Bell Jones, W. Davies or J. Bennett, and L. Watts. Rover would like to see W. Glass or Linnell, Williams or P. Jones, D. Jones, T. Brooks, and Bell Jones, R. Hughes, Hol- brook, Jack Jones, G. Linnell, and L. Watts, representing Prestatyn. Others also include Local Man Linnell or H. Roberts, J. Williams and J. Roberts, T. Brooks, J. Jones, and L. Watts, J. Parry (G.), J. Roberts, Hoi- brook, W. Davies or J. Bennett. "Meltden" W. Glass, J. Williams, J. Jones, T. Brooks, R. Jones, and D. G. Jones, J. Parry, W. Thomas, Holbrook, Davies, and L. Watts. Goal Post" J. Linnell, D. G. Jones, and J. T. Williams, T. Brooks, Jack Jones, and Bell Jones, R. Hughes, J.Bennett, Hol- brook, W. Davies, and L. Watts. E. Newton W, Glass, and J. T. Williams, and J. R. Roberts (Pen-y-cae), D. G. Jones, Holbrook, and T. Brooks, H. Hughes, G. Glass, Jack Jones, Bell Jones, and L. Watts. Spectator J. P. Litinell, J. Williams and J. Jones, D. G. Jones, T. Brooks, and J. Roberts (Pen-y-cae), L. Watts, R. Hughes Holbrook, Jim Jones, and G. Glass. Parry W. Glass, J. T. Williams and Pryce Jones, D. G. Jones, Bell Jones, and T. Brooks, R. Hughes, Holbrook, Jack Jones, G. Glass, and L. Watts. Evertonian J. P. Linnell, J. Williams, and Pryce Jones, D. G. Jones, Jack Jones, and Bell Jones, R. Hughes, Holbrook, T. Brooks, W. Williams, and L. Watts. Several correspondents give the why and wherefore of their selections, but space will not permit of giving more than the team. It is to be hoped that the Selection Com- mittee may gain some hints from the above, which fairly represents the opinion of all sides of the club's supporters. Next Saturday the Rhyl Church Guild visit Prestatyn. This will be Prestatyn's last home match this season, and should be the means of attracting a good gate.
