Gentlemen of St. Mary's must look to their laurels to maintain the standard set by our lady members. On Tuesday next, the 24th inst., Mr. G. Haydn Evans, Durham University, will read a paper on Commercial Morality." ST. PADARN'S WELSH CHURCH.—A coffee supper in connection with St. Padarn's Welsh Church, Hornsey Road, N., was held on Thursday, January 12th. The chair was taken by Mr. David Evans, of Hampstead, and a good muster of members and friends assembled to enjoy the entertaining programme which had been provided by the Rev. W. Davies and Mrs. W. C. Evans. The artistes included Misses Annie Parry, Jennie Hagger, Florrie Davies, Wilson (Highgate), and Maggie Pierce (Paddington), and Messrs. Haydn Evans, Edward Owen, and E. F. Townsend, who was very successful with some humorous songs, while recitations were given by Miss Cerutti, Miss Lena Evans, and Mr. W. C. Evans. Mr. Isaac Jones, the organist, acted as accom- panist, assisted by Miss Pierce and Miss Muttins. Refreshments were provided by the Rev. W. and Mrs. Davies, and the following ladies kindly assisted at the tables: Mrs. Solomon, Mrs. Evans, Miss Evans, Miss Davies, and Mrs. Jones, and altogether a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close by singing "Hen Wlad fy Nhadau," led by Miss Annie Parry.
