THE NEW TURKISH BVrHS, CHARLES STUEET, CARDIFF. Mr Jarvis, the med'cf.i.1 g..IvnnLst:,wh. cunie time .since successfully introduced the electro- chetnical baths into Catditi, has recently added to them Turkish baths, up..n a principle hitherto uu- I- rown in tite locaJity. Thasystemforsupplying the baths with water is c-;ecUent, and tanks are placed in connection with them capable cf holding 500 gallons of hot and cold water. Attached to the Tnrkih Lath is a ¡,:hampooing roüm, on a ncw and very novel pri')'(-.p!e. Th.'patient stands cna.slabsn'r- rounded by more than a hundred jets, through w hich water is Fjcnt with considerable force, the temperature varying' from 100 degrees to cold, but the of temperature, which is superintended by Mr Jar vis, is so gradual that the patient does not perceive it. Mr Jarvis is a gentleman who has made the question of tne"bath''astudy, and the electro-chc'mical bath has, under his hands, been found to give relief in many cases when relief could not be obtained from other sources. He also personally superintends the Turkish bath on gentlemen's days, and has a properly qurditied assistant for ladies. Since the neY.' baths in Charles-street have been opened tli-v ha.n been ¡Ütcnlkd by large numbers of and gentlemen, who find in them everything' they can desire, and the increased demand for these baths has induced him to extend his premises and double the accommodation he had formerly, ,hilL) the opening of the ne\v baths enabled him to adopt every improvement which has been intro- t duced in the establishments of the kind In the ] Jl 1\11' Janis COil- siderable skiil, probably derived from his long expcrienee, and the improvements introduced by him would commend themselves to every visitor.
