MISKIN WELCOME HOME FUND On Monday evening last Mr Win. Bowles presided. The- Miskin Glee Party provided the musical pro- gramme, the conductor being Mr. Rd. Matthews (junr.). Accompan- ist, Miss Florrie Wines, A.L.C.M., secretary, Mr Ted Morgan. In ad- dition to several choruses by the Party, the following rendered solos: Messrs. Evan Morgan, William Jones, John Wines, William Wool- ridge, Miss Gwen Phillips. Recita- tions by Mrs. D. Jones and Mrs. Vince. The chairman presented the following soldiers: Pte. D. Scott, 27 Glyn Gwyn St.; Pte. G. Lloyd, 15 Bailey St.; Driver S. Heath, 40 Glyn Gwyn Street; Gunner G. J. Smith, 25 Clarence St.; Pte. Win. Bethel, 23 Consort Street; Pte. Allen Bethel, 43 Consort St.; Sergt. J Keneally, 33 Clarence Street; Pte. P. Barber, 57 Consort Street; Rifleman D. Hughes, 18 Mount Pleasant Terrace. The last named had been prisoner of wai-sinec, last April. He received great ovation at tho concert. Councillor D. J. Lewis moved a vote of thanks to the chair- man and the party.
