After some introductory remarks Dr. Williams called attention to the great skill exhibited by the Divine architect in fixing the head oil the; spinal or backbone. He then went on to describe the peculiar construction of the spine, the ribs, the bones of the arms, hands, legs, and feet, observing that everywhere was apparently the most perfect and peculiar adaptation for the accomplish- ment of the end designed—and consequently a designing intel- ligence. Mr. Napier, who occupied the chair, having made a few observations, Professor Robinson, of London, addressed the audience on the same subject, after which the meeting separated.
