Later, the unfortunate woman had to be removed to the infirmary. DEATH OF A PROMINENT WESLEY- AN.—The death took place on Tuetsday evening, at his residence, Lodwig Villa, Upper Bangor, of 'Mr John Williams, who was one of the oldest of Bangor citizens, j'ing in hie 91st. year. He had lieen in busi- ness as a eoach builder. He never took very active interst in \p'lIbJil' life but for a short period wes a useftu__member of the isete Bangor Local Board of i-caith. II" Aits a zealous .and active member of the St. Paul's Welsh Wfèsleyan Church, and had Giled almost every office in the connexion open to a. layman. For nurny years he hi led, with Alderman Thomas Lewis, J.P., Garth, erwen, the office of circuit steward. When the niovemeait took place to start a cause ii Ghinadda, he gave material assistance by contributing a substantial sum towards the cost of the commodious chapel which .va» afterwards built. The funeral, which xill be of a public nature will take piece on Saturday next. A memorial service will be conducted at St. Pau. s Uhapel, at 2 o clock. STANLEY CONDOR ESCAPES AGAIN. —On Saturday morning, the boy Stanley Condor, who has already gained some faillo & a runaway, and who has been for some Lime on the training-ship "Clio," was sent .ishore to call at the Post-office for lettel-s and papers for the ship. Instead, however, of reiuming, Stanley made tracks for Car- narvon by road through Glanadda. Whilst talking to some women at Portdinorwic, about 10 o'clock, lie was accc. ted by P.C. 1 homas Davies, who said to him, "Are you itanley Condor?" "Yes," replied the youth eamlidiy. The constable took him with him. tnd after giving him a good breakfast, jrought him to Bangor by the 10.0 a.m. .rain, and subsequently Condor was handed ever to Captain Lar.gdon. Seen by our re- presentative, Condor, in reply to a question, said that he wanted to go home to his par- ents in Canada, and that. was where he \A.. ;oing for. IN CAMP.—On Saturday after- noon, the jnembjrs of the 1st Cwrnarvon- shire Royal Gtirrieon Artillery (Volunteers) returned from New Brighton after undergo, ing a week's successful encampment under canvas. The men were under the command of Col. Savage during the week, and the other officers present were (Major Wliic.kin, Lieut. AV. O. Clarke, Lieut. W. H. Hughes, Carnarvon Surg. Lieut.-Col. E. J. Lloyd, Lieut. Surg. (Corbett Owen, and the Ad- iutant Capt. 'Lambert, R.A., with camp Sergi.-Major J. Roberts, In-itructor Sergt.- Major Davie* and Sergt.-Major Stamp. The duties of Quarter-Master were underta-ken by Q.M.S. W. Hall Savage, assisted by late Sergl.-Majir Inst. Parker. Th-a Sergeants' Mess was nnler the dmrfgeof Sergt. B. t Davies, assisted by Boin-bad er W. Thomas and Charles Burns. The canteen was undo' the su]>erintendanee of Mr Glass (fiardsey Island Inn), and lbt-e C.Q.M.S. John Wii- liains (Prince Llewehn). The cooking ar- rangements were in the hands, of C.Q.M. J. Frith, and the hospital arrange meats were carried out efficiently by Gunner H. Rich- ards. The camp was very nicely situated, the officers having use of a large- dwelling house as officers mess, and this whs sur- rounded by a nice tennis and bowling ground, where many enjoyable games were ployed, especially by the sergeants, who were kindly allowtid to use the same by the officers.
