She was well known and held in high esteem by a targe circle of friends. The funeral, which was pri- vate, took place on Saturday, the, interment being at LUndogai Churchyard. A short scrvicc was conducted it, the house by the Rev. n. J. M organ, M.A., the rector, who I also assisted the red or of '.landegni (the Rev. D. A. Jones), in the service at the church and at the graveside. The chief mourners were Mr A. Rhys J one: and Mrs Rhys Jones. The deceased lady's other son, Dr. TQnl Slat- er ionLondon, was prevented by illness from being present. NURSING ASSOCIATION. I The District Nursing Association does a large amount of useful work in a quiet, unostentatious way, and it is probably due to this tatter fact, rather than from airy lack of sympathy with its objects that the Association fails to receive from the general public that amount of support which its usefulness entitles it to. The Association is constantly crippled from laok of funds, and the last financial year, owing to unforeseen expenses, found it £ 35 down on the year's working. With the object of raising funds to meet this deficit a whiat drive was held in St. Mary's Church Schoolroom on Wc<lri(vida,, with satisfactory results. The arrangements were earned out by Mrs II. J. Morgan, Mias Geary, Miss Goodman, and Mr Vaughan Bowen. Donations were given by Lady Mag. dalen Bulkeley, the Miasee I/auric, Dr. E. R. Thomas, Mias Hamilton^ the Rev. H. J. Morgan, the Rev. LORD DALMENY'S DIVORCE. Lora Dalmcny, heir to 'he Earl of Rose- i bcrjr, was granted a divorce yesterday, on tiiu ground of desertion, from his wife, Dorothy Alice Margaret Augusta, the youngest daugh- ter of the late Lord Henry Urosveiior, third sou of the first Duke of Westminster. The petition was heard in the Divorve Court at Edinburgh by Lord Anderson, and amo/ig the witnesses were the Marchioness of Crt'we (Lord Daimeuy's sisler) and Sir Charles lius- sell. In June. 1917, the petitioner publicly ad- vertised that he would be nsponsible no long- er for debts contracted by his wife, and to this she replied with an advertised statenicwl of her indebtedness on personal account, and an allegation that Lord balmeny only trave her a small household allowance.
