The old romance of a rich uncle in India leaving a fabulous fomune has just become a pleasing-reality- to a Mr. George Legg, carpenter, Madeley. The uncle, Mr. Johnson, an East India merchant, has bequeathed £ 18,000 to this fortunate nephew, besides three sums, of £ 10,0,00 and one of £ 5.00U to other relatives,, and £ 500 a year to his widow. ,• "Potato Disease In Ireland.—I am sorry.j says. a correspondent of the Morning Ifews, to. state that the disease has made its appearance in a very serious manner in the county of Dublin during the last few days.
