Money Market. CITY, SEPT. 14.—The funds opened steadily this morning, at the closing quotations of yesterday, but have since given way J per cent. on a rumour that a further unfavourable movement has taken place in the Bombay exchange. It is inferred, therefore, that increased amounts of silver will be sent from England to the East. The dis- count market remains quiet, with little business and a large supply of monev. The general rate tor tne best three mouths' bills is 8f to 9 per cent., but exceptional transactions are reported at 8a The charge for short loans in the Stock Exchange is 5 per cent.-Consols are now quoted 871 to 88 for money, and 881 to i for the account (October 11). The official busi- ness report is as follows:—Three per Cent. Consols, for money, 88J, t, 87f; ditto, for account, 88?t. 14; Three per Cents. Eedueed, 86#, f; New Three per Cents, 86f | 4- Bank Stock, 244, 242: India Stock, 212: ditto. Five Ver Cent. Stock, 104, 103}: ditto, Bonds, 28s, 20s dis.
