This volume, to which the author has not thouaht Proper to attach his name, must be welcomed with especial gratification by those who look forward to that heavenly home which he so wondrously and delightfully portrays. It proves in a manner as beautiful as it is convincing, the doctrine of THE RECOGNITION OF FRIENDS IN HEAVEN It demonstrates THE INTEREST WHICH THOSE IN HEAVEN FEEL IN EARTH, and proves, with remarkable clearness, that such an interest exists, not only with the Almighty and among the angels, but also among the spirits of departed friends.' —Glasgow Herald. We tire not in the least surprised at so many thou- sands of copies of this anonymous writer's books being bought up. We seem to be listening to a voice and lan- guage which we never heard before. 'The name of the author of this work is strangely enough withheld. A social heaven, in which there will be the most PERFECT RECOGNITION, INTER- COURSE, FELLOWSHIP, and BLISS, is the leading idea of the book, and it is discussed in a fine genial spirit.'— Caledonian Mercury. 'Amid the works proceeding from an overteeming JPtess, our attention has been arrested by the perusal of *he above named production, which, it seems, is wending its way daily among persons of all denominations. By the present law, none but the real Physician r Surgeon dare attach M.D. or M.R.C.S. to his name and openly advertise his fees, as heavy penalties would be incurred. The public should therefore guard against impostors who impudently style themselves 'Dr,' 'Professor,' 'M.R.A.S. 'M.A. &c, in order to mislead the unwary as to their true character. None of these men really know more of the diseases they profess to treat than any person may by reading the above work. Fom long practical observation in the most famous Institutions of this country and the continent, the Author has had somewhat unusual facilities for acquiring that uniform success, which has hitherto characterized his treatment, and he refers with pride to the numbers he has been instrumental in restoring to health arid happ.ness; whilst to all who need such aid he offers. every assu- rance of speedy restoration. CURE IN FOUR WEEKS.THE GUTTLE VIT.E, or VEGE- TABLE LIFE DROPS, Protected by Royal Letters Patent Sanctioned by the Faculte de France; ifc., have in numberless instances proved their superiority over every other advertised remedy for langour, lassitude, di pression of spirits, irritability,* excitement, fear, distaste and incapacity for society, study or business, indigestion, pains and palpitations in the side, giddi- ness. noise in the head, &c. This medicine strengthens the vitality of the whole system, gives energy to the muscles, speedily removes nervousness, renovates the impaired powers of life, and invigorates the most shattered constitution. For skin eruptions, $ore throat, pains in the: bones, and those diseases in which rner-* cury, sar»aparilla, &c, are too often employed to the utter ruin of health, its surprising efficacacy has only to be tested.
