Gohebiaethau. [Nid ydym mewn un modd yn gyfrifol am syniadau ein gwahanol ohebwyr." CYMRU FYDD. At Olygyddy LONDON WELSHMAN." SYR,-—Yr oeddwn bron wedi anghofio fod Cymdeithas o'r enw uchod wedi bod ar un adeg yn Llundain, ond daeth llythyr "Hen Aelod," yn eieb rhifyn am Ionawr 6ed, a'r ffaith i'm cof. Y tro diweddaf y bu'm mewn cyfarfod dan nawdd y Gymdeithas mewn sylw oedd yn yr Ideal Club, Tottenham Court Road, ac y mae cryn ysbaid oddiar hynny. Yno yr oedd Griffi bach" Aberystwyth (fel y gelwid y llywydd am y tro gan yr aelodau) yn siarad am droi Llundain yn Radicaliaid rhonc, o'r Palas Grisial i Colney Hatch, a chredai mae'n debyg y gwnai hynny ag un araeth, oherwydd dyna'r oll a gaed ganddo er dwyn y cynllun breuddwydiol i ben. Erbyn hyn mae'r Ideal Club wedi darfod, a chredaf fod holl ideals y Cymru Fyddion wedi diflanu gydag ef, a'r goreu ellir wneyd yn awr yw claddu yr enw a'r Gymdeithas yn nhir anghof, oherwydd nid oes weithred yn ei holl hanes nychlyd yn werth y drafferth o son am dani. Yr eiddoch, SHIRGAR. EAST-END WELSH MISSION. To the Editor of THE LONDON WELSHMAN." DEAR SIR,-Rumour has it that a Mission Hall in Silver Street, Stepney, is about to be closed in con- sequence of the prolonged illness of the missionary (Mr. R. S. Williams). Cannot the London Welsh, or, at least, that portion of them who have mission work at heart, do something to prevent this ? No doubt the Welsh ladies and gentlemen who have taken an active pirt in the past would still continue their good work. The frequenters of this Mission Hall object to go to chapel or church because of their social circumstances, which they consider a barrier between them and their more fortunate brothers and sisters. Those Welsh poor (so to speak) have an attachment for Silver Street for the last seven or eight years, and will now be driven out in the cold if the hall is closed. Will some sympathetic person suggest a scheme by which the hall will be retained for the Welsh through the columns of the LONDON WELSHMAN ? Yours faithfully, Ap JOSEPH. POLITICAL MANDATES. To the Editor of "THE LONDON WELSHMAN." SIR,-From a report in your last issue, it appears that Mr. Ellis Jones Griffith, M.P., is dissatisfied with the Prime Minister's recent speech at Wrexham, where he briefly addressed a meeting of workmen in support of the Liberal and'Labour candidate. Mr. Griffith states that the Prime Minister mentioned a long list of proposed reforms dealing with labour questions and the better housing of the working classes, but there was not even a hint of an intention to deal with the Established Church in Wales." Mr. Griffith, however, admits that the question of Disestablishment has long been an item in the Liberal programme, and that the Prime Minister has given a personal assurance on the subject to the leader of the Welsh Party, which assurance was announced to the British public some weeks ago. I presume he is also satisfied that Mr. Lloyd-George's presence in the Cabinet is some guarantee to the WeLh people that 'the promise will be fulfilled. But Mr. Griffith insists on a special MANDATE being obtained on the subject of the Welsh Church from the electors of Great Britain, who are the only people competent to give it. I doubt whether the majority of the English people are sufficiently interested to concern themselves in the matter one way or the other. Under all the circumstances of the present election, most
