RIR A ™ CRAWSHAY and GEORGE. Ciffarthfa, April 20,1804. DR. AN DEltSON's, Or the TRUE SCOTS PILLS., THESE Pills, which have been prepared and given the greatest satisfaction for upwards of 80 years by DICEY and Co. at their original Medicine Warehouse, No. 10, Bow Church-yard, London, are singularly effica- cious in bilious, flatulent, and dropsical complaints, and all disorders of the stoinach and bowels. They promote diges- tion, create an appetite, remove obstructions in the kidnies, and consequently are antidotes to the stone and gravel, but •; for the exputsion of worms in children or grown persoits the 1 whole Materia IVXedica has not their equal. Travellers, who are too often obliged to drink all kinds of liquors, as well as seafaring people, should never be unprovided with them, as by frequently taking one or two of them, they .are kept from costiveness, scurvies, fevers, and most malignant distempers. The SCOTS PILI.S prepared by Dicey and Co. retain their virtue for any length of time, and in all climates; and from the peculiarity of the composition, they never run together, an advantage no other Scots Pills possess; and therefore, for exportation, or the use of gentlemen in the maritime line, they have a manifest superiority. fhT Spurious sorts, of a very inferior quality, are sold in almost every town; be .careful therefore to ask particularly for Dicey's Anderson's Scott Pills, and to observe that the words Dicey and Co. No: .10, Bow Church-yard, are printed in the Stamp affixed to each box, and signed in the margin of each bill of directions. ° Sold, wholesale and retail, by Messrs. Dicey and Co. To THOMAS TA YLOR, Esq. No. 9, New Bridge- street, London. HONOURID SIR, Edinburgh, March 18,1801. I BEG leave to inform you, that ever since the ( year 1/90,1 had been afflicted with the LUES VENE- REA; which, from its obstinately resisting every course 01 medicine prescribed by the most eminent of the faculty here, and undergoing several several courses of salivation, and twice discharged from the Hospital, with little veliei, would appear to be of the most inveterate nature. In the spring of last year my disorder had got to such a head, a = nearly to put a period to my existence—I had a large ulcei on the crown ot my head, one on each arm, and my legs were broke out in a frightf ul manner my right was dread- fully painful, and had been in a state of ulceration for the last seven years; my left had also two large nodes on it, was very .much discoloured, and gave me such excruciating pain, particularly when warm in bed. as nearly to deprive me of rest; in this lamentable state, I was recommended by Mr. J. Thompson, (who received so great a cure bv them here) to take your LEAKE's PATENT PILLS, which I began to do 011 the 26th of May in the course of a fort- night I began to receive' benefit—-in little more than a month the ulcers on my head and arms were soundly-heal- ed—soon after, the sores on my legs healed also.; leaving, ho we ver, considerable discolouration in the skin, and pam } in the bone of the left, which, by the blessing of God, and a little longer perseverance in your invaluable Medicine, sub- sided; the nodes dispersing, the skin regaining its natural hue, and the nocturnal pains gradually gohig'off.. I thus became, by your liberal advice and medicme, perfectly tree from all my former complamts-have recovered my lormer spirits and strength, and am become jolly and fat. in which state having continued many months to the astonishment of all who knew me, I am at a loss in what terms to express mv gratitude, but beg you, for the good of other suffering mor- tab, to make this my case as public as possible, its I shall on st every occasion in so doing you will greatly oblige, Sir, your grateful, obedient, very humble servant, ALEX. The particulars respecting the nomination of Bonaparte v I linjiewal dignity will of course claim the fu itteuuon, but there is one circiUiistamje nientiuij- ea besides in these Jourrrals which i«t -extremely important.
