Copy of a letter addressed to Mr. DRURY, Bookseller, Lincoln. Lincoln, October 5, 1847. Sin,—I, Chailes Foster, ground-keeper to Henry Sheppherd. Esq., do this day, October 5, 1846, attest to the following state ment: — Having been ill a louy time, proceeding fiom pain in my body, attended with considerable fever, very faint, sick in the morning, without being able to discharge anything from the itomach, and no apnetiie whatever, with many other dis gree- able symptoms all over me, no medical man was abl- to benefit me, and I became reduced in strength so much as to prevent my attending to my t sual avocations. Hearing tiie many benefits dertved from Uld Parr's PilK I decided at once to give them a trial, and purchased a box III your shop, near the Stone Bow, Lincoln, and it affords me great pleasure to inform you that the j one box entirely cured me, and 1 am now entirely restored in I health but sshenever I teel less attractive, and not so lively as usual, I immediately have recouise to Old Parr, and a couple of his pills bring me right. 1 he astonishing effect Pari s Pills have had upon me is such, that I can scaicely hdieve thaI I am the same man 1 was a few months ago; 1 Ie11 then as though my life was nearly ended now I feel hearty, and able to undertake any description of work and exeition, without feeling that ex- cessive fatigue I did pieviuus to taking them. It is really and truly new life to me. I have given this statement voluntarily, for the benefit of those of my fellow creatures who know nothing ot Old Part's wonderful pills. Price 2s. 9d. each bottle, and in pint b ittles, containing nearly six 2s. 9d. bottles, for lis., patent-duty included. The following letter must convince every one of the safe, speedy, and truly wonderful effects of those drops. This important letter is sent to Mr. Halse by Mr. Matthew, a highly respectatile fatmer, of the parish of Brent, Devon :— Brent, March 1, 1842. Dear Sir,—I consider it a duty incumbent en me to ftate to the public the invaluable properties of your SCORBUTIC DROPS. I may truly say that I could never have believed such II powerful anti-scorbuiic mediolDe 10 be in the possession of any one, had I not experienced its wonderful effects. Why is it that so many families are troubled with scorbutic eruptions, when. "cu ;{ ounnerof the blood, as your medicine decidedly is, is within the reach of almost every one? The answer is evi- dent: because you have not given it that publicity which it is your duty to do and this is my principal reason for now writ- ing to you, that you may make the particulars of the case public. Yoar modesty, sir, ought not to overcome your duty to your fellow-cteatures therefore, I trust, for the benefit of mankind, that you will give this letter as much publicity as possible. You remember, when I first applied to you, that I was almost out ofhopesofreceivine any benefit for my poor suffering child, tor 1 bekeve that I informed you th^t 1 had Jieen trying all but everything in ord«r to give rny child some ease but day by day she continued to get worse, until at length all strength left her, and she was no longer able to walk her body and head were covered all over with scorbutic eruptions, her appetite had van- ished, the eruptions would ilch in -uch a dreadful manner that she would roll herselt in agonies on the ground, and the could get no sleep whatever by night. Immediately you saw her you told me you were certain your Scorbutic Dropø would cure her: 1 paid but little attention to our statement,as I had tried so many things in vain but bearing of some wonderful cures made by vou, I was determined to give your drops a trial, and fortunate for me 1 did so. Before she had taken oneboltle of them, all the itching ceased, her appetite returned, and she enjoyed sound und refreshing sleep. By the time she had taken the second bottle, her skin was as fair as any persons, the use of her limbs wasrestored to her, and. I thank God, her health is now as good or beller than it ever was. Swcerely wishing you every success, Allow me to remain, dear Sir, yours respectfully. "WILLIAM MATTHEWS." Another surprising cure by means of Halse's Scorbutic Drops." Holt, near Winbourne, May 21, 1845. To the Proprietor of Halse's Scorbutic Drops. '•Sir,—It is due to you to state the astonishing cure your valu- able medicine hascaused to my wife. About five year8 since, an eruption eppeared In various parts of the body "he applied to various medical gentlemen, without deriving the least benefit; the disorder continued to increase, and latterly to a very frightful exieut, her body being covered with painful, itching, unsightly scabs. A bout 6 months since 1 providentially saw the advertise meat of H alse's Scorbutic Drops, in the Salisbury Journal. I deter- mined that my wife should give your medicine a trial, and accor- dingly purchased a bottle of your drops of Mr. Wheaton, your agent at Ringwood, and I have not words to express my opinion of the medicine but in the course of a lortnight she was per- fectlycufed. having taken two bottles of the drops and one box of pills. Six months have now elapsed, and the has had no re- turn of the complaint. "A nelgiluour of mine, Mr. John Sheers, yeoman, of Holt, has a child eighteen months of age, which, since it had been four months old, had its head and face completely coveted with scabs, causing itself and mother many sleepless nishts. Now, dS 1 was a witoess of the truly wondeilul elrcch of your incom parable medicine in my wife's case, L lecommended it to my neighbour, anft after soma persuasion, he purchased a bottle. He gave It to his child; the effect was miraculous, for in less than ttiree weeks the child was perfectly cured. Truly, Halse's Scor- butic Drops is 1\ wonderful medicine, and I am convinced that no one would be afflicted with the scuivy if they knew us avlue. ] have recommended those drops to many others in my neighbourhood; a statement of their cases, if you wish, I will forward another tune. With the greatest respect, 1 remain your obedient and obliged seivant, "STEPHEN CULL."
