THE Committee have great pleasure in being able to report the very flourishing condition this Society has again attained. They have only to refer, in proof thereof, to the Society's first proud achievement, viz., the purchase of the Fair Oak Estate, the whole of which has been parcelled out to about 200 allottees, the greater portion of whom are busily engaged in bringing their respective allotments under culti- vation. The Committee have the pleasure also to state that Seventy- Seven members are entitled to have their names registered on the next list of voters for the county of Monmouth. The Committee feel very desirous that the important advan- tages which this Society is thus enabled to secure, should be more extensively embraced and they earnestly call upon all those who are anxious to acquire a small Freehold, together with the County Franchise, to speedily enrol themselves as members. MONMOUTHSHIRE COLLIERIES FOR SALE BY PRIVATE CONTRACT, ALL those Extensive COLLIERIES and WORKS called and known as the "ABERCARN and GWYTHEN COLLIERIES," situate at Abercarn, in the county of Mon- mouth, together with all the Machinery and Working Stock be- longing thereto. The Works are now in full operation, and produce both House and Steam Coals, and are capable of sending to market from 1,500 to 2,000 Tons of Coal per week, and are only distant from the shipfyng port of Newport 10 miles, with which they have a direct and easy communication, by the Monmouthshire Railway and Caanl Company's canal and railway.
