The samples from Essex and Kent were not numerous, and, with some conntiy buyers in attendance, higher terms were at first demanded; but eventually prices did not exceed the previous rates, though there was an increased facility in sales. In foreign .business remained very quiet. Of English flour there were 16,870 sacks, of foreign r t m" s" Norfolk* sold better, at fully unchanged T°wn"made samP1^ and foreign were CiSK tamed their valne, bat secondary were dull^ atld grind- mg sorts rather cheaper. The arrivals of all descriptions of corn, grain, flour, &c., both British and foreign, are this week very limited. To-day the wheat market must be quoted at fully Mon- day's rates. Fine malting barley is quite as dear as on Monday, but inferior is difficult of sale. There is not much doing in oats, but fine corn is worth quite as much money as on Monday; for inferior there is hardly any sale. In flour there is no alteration, Norfolks fetching full 40s. Indian Corn is in good demand, and quite as dear. Beans are firm. Peas are scarce, and quite as dear as on Monday last. THE CORN AVERAGES. Ascremte Average of Six Weeks. s. d. 5. d. The supply of beasts was large, being nearly 5,000 head but it will have been observed that latterly the receipts have been more than the average for former years. Of mutton the supply was rather short, nevertheless sheep sold slowly, but fully commanded the late rise in prices. a. d s. d «. d. s. d.
