AT A MEETING held for the purpose of instituting a Series of PEOPLE'S CONCERTS, to take place in the TOWN-HALL, NEWPORT, during the Winter and Spring, the following resolutions were adopted :—RESOLVED,— I.—That a Committee shall ba formed, of whom five shall be a quorum, for the purpose of organising a Series of Five People's Concerts, to take place at the Town-hall, Newport, in the early part of next year, and who shall be authorised to obtain Subscriptions of One Pound, in exchange for Two Tickets of Admission to each Concert, which tickets shall be transferable, and entitle the holder to Reserved Seats." 2. That there shall be only Two Hundred Reserved Seats, and that the remainder of the Hall shall be appro- priated to the general admission of the Public, at an uniform charge of Sixpence. It is intended to employ the available local professional talent, and to obtain the assistance of Amateurs who may be willing to assist in the promotion of the objects in view.
