Y DIVISION-Comprising the OOUNTIES OF BRECKNOCK- SHIRE, CARDIGANSHIRE, CARMARTHENSHIRE PEMBROKESHIRE, GLAMORGANSHIRE, RADNOR-" SHIRF, MONMOUTHSHIRE. mHE EFFECT OF THE ARMISTICE is not to relieve the situation with regard to fuel and JL lighting. The re-occupation of Belgium and the task of clearing and sweeping the seas, with the resumption of shipping activity for the provisioning of the Allied countries rather increases than diminiishes the demand for coal. While war munitions will now largely ceaae to be manufactured, the need for steel, for woollen and cotton materials, for shipbuilding, for supplies of all kinds required for reconstruction, will engage all the available resources. ECONOMY AND CARE ARE NEEDED MORE THAN EVER, if the victory of battle is to be a real victory of a new settlement for the people. Just at this moment in the joy and relief that warfare is endem, there will be those who fall into carelessness c-nd e?sy habits. These must be restored to a right mind. There may also be temporary shortages of coal occasioned by a relaxation in the effort to secure a full output. These the Controller hopes to deal with promptly. It is a matter of importance that to avoid hardship a minimum distribution of coal for household purposes must be maintained throughout the country. t Bobt. A. Card, Captain, Cardiff. DIVISIONAL OFFICER.
