The estate is known as Abergwynant, and is in the occupation of the owner, Colonel Bunburv, C.B., and comprises a residence, beautifully placed in the mi^sc of woods and ornamental pleasure grounds, abounding with choice trees and flowering shrubs. The outbuildings are well arranged, and conve- niently situate at a short distance from the houses, and the gar- dens, in which is a vinery, are planted with the choicest fruit trees of various kinds and very productive. The farm build- ings are amnio, and there is water-power applied to many useful purposes. There are several workmen's cottages dispersed over the estate, as well as a bailiff's house, a capital dairy, and coach- man's house. The entire area, including the woods, sheep walks, farms, lands, and ornamental grounds, occupies about 477 acres. The Cambrian Railway passes on the outer boundary of the pro- perty, and there is a station at Penmaen Pool, a little more than a mile distant, and the Dolgelly Station on the Great Western Rail- way is distant about 31 miles. The estate is beautifully secluded and picturesque, and the walks through the woods and plantations, which are some miles in extent, afford views most extensive and varied, bounded by the sea, and the grand effect seen from the house and terraces reaches to the highest peak of Cader Idris, which forms a grand termination to the landscape. The house, which is of modern erection, and built of stone with ornamental gables, may be readily enlarged if wished. There is a romantic stream passing through the property, in which there is trout fishing, adding greatly to the beauty of the estate and there is salmon fishing in the Mawddach and Wnion rivers. The woods afford excellent cover for pheasants, and are well situate for the preservation of game. This lovely and romantic spot must be seen to be appreciated. Valuable flag stone has been quarried U| »n the estate, and it is believed that a profitable trade might be established, the proximity to the rail- way (to which there is a right of siding reserved) affords every laulity for the transit of the produce.
