PROSPECTUS: This Company is formed for the purpose of acquiring working the Cwm Issa Slate Quarry, near Capel Urrig, North Wales. The property is held under an agreement for a lease 60 years, from the thirtieth day of May, 1872, on following favourable terms, viz.:—" An annual rental of £ 20 for the first three years of term, and afterwards an annual rental of £ 40, ^G'giog into the low royalty of 2s 6d per ton (computed izerglug into the low royalty of 2s 6d per ton (computed I ti elht) for slates (slab and ton slates excepted) for the rllt 20 years, and for the remainder of the term a I toyalty of 36 per ton (computed weight) for slates (slab ton slates excepted), and 2s per ton for all slab and 400 slates. The property comprises about 77 acres of land, and the situation is exceedingly advantageous for the opening °ut of an extensive quarry, having ample and most con- yenient tipping ground, and having also a suftkent and ^ttBtant supply of water on the property to work exten- 'e and powerful machinery for sawing and dressing sitba and slates, and ether purposes. Quarry managers of the highest standing have ex- plained the property, and speak in the most tattering terms of the Quality and quantity of slate rock on the elltate. The slate is of a superior quality, and in all respects litoilar to the renowned Festiniog slate. The slate on the property is very extensive. The top rock 18 oaost promising, and all the slate rock on the property, as far as it has been proved, is of a very superior quality. It is a well-known fact that the slate trade has never °eea so brisk, and the demand for slates so great, as at the present, the prices having advanced from 25 to 30 cent, within the last two years, with every promise a healthy continuance of a flourishing trade, The cost of cartage to the Bsttws y-coed Railway Sta- *l°n (being a distance of six miles) will be only 5s per and as the Bill for the construction of a lioe ef tail-ay from Portmadoc to IMtwB-y-coed has received "ae Royal assent, and such line running through the Property, the expense will be very materially diminished, a direct communication between the quarries and portmadoc opened, thus affording the Company the ^antages of exporting their slates by sea as well as by The vendor agrees to accept the Bum of £ 7,500 as the Purchase money for the whole of his interest in the ^Perty, leaving a balance of working capital of p2,500, which undoubtedly will be more than sufficient J? make the quarry a payiDg concern. Of this sum of JiSOO the vendor agrees to take £ 2,506 in paid-up 8hares. ^ith the present advantages, natural and acquired, with prospects so exceptionally promising, there are strongest reasons for believing this enterprise will "t only succeed as a means of investment, but will re- in profits equalling those realised by reuownod Sanies in North Wales. Application for shares, accompanied with a deposit of Q per share, to be made to the Banker, Solicitor, or at Offices of the Company.
