Davies, oi Richards Terrace, and Pte Morgan Lloyd, of Bethuel Row, both of ih»>j Seaforth Highlanders, having joined in September, 1914, Driver Sammy Davies, R.F.A., and Pte Johnny Jones, both of Ynyscynon St, are now home having been discharged. R ETURNED PRISONERS OF WAR.—Sapper Roes Edwards, Royal Ej'ginec-is, m_>n of the late Mr. nnw Mrs Henry Edwards, has now return- ed home after having been a prisoner of war in Gennanv for 9 months. Sapper Edwards, who was with the Army when war broke, out, was drafted out with the first Expedi- tionary Force, and was in the mem- orable retreat from Mona. The hard- ships endured by Sapper Edwards since he hus'been a prisoner are al- most incredible. Once he was kept within the fire of the British guns behind the German lines. His only brother Pte Amos Edwards, fell about two vears ago whilst on active service in France. SERVICE OF SONG. At Brjn Seion (Cong.) Chapel on Sunday las:, services of song were held. In the afternoon eolos were given by Thos. Ed. Williams, Thos Evan Williams. Miss Winnie Evans, Miss Davies. Debate, "Yr YRgol Sul" was ren- dered by Miss Evans and party. At the evening service (for adults) solos were given by Mrs. S. E. Hill and Johnny Lloyd. Recitations by Mr. Edward Evans and Miss Katie Evans. Violin solo, Mr James Jones. Duets, Misses Ethel May Hughes and Mary Williams, Messrs Johnny Lloyd and D. Thos. Davies. The choir, under the oonductorship of Mr. Thos. Evan Williams, sang choruses. The ac- companist was Mr. Fred Reos. WEDDING. At Nazareth C.M. Chapel, Aberdare, on Saturday morn- ing last, a nrottv wedding was sol- emnised by rhe Rev. T. Eli Evans. The parties were Miss Jessie Maclean second daughter of Mrs. Maclean, Colliers' Arms, and Mr. Evgn Jonn Davies, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Davies, of Hawthorn Tei- race, Aberdare, and grandson of Mrs Jones, of 5 Pleasant Row, Cwmbach. The bride,, who was neatly attired. was given away by her mother. 1'he brideamaid was Aliss Annie Mary Davies, eister of bridegroom, who was also neatly attired. The best man was the bridegroom's father. Break- fast was partaken of at the home of the bridegroom's parents. CONCERT. — At the Ship and the bridegroom's parents. CONCERT.
