INTERMENT.—The funeral of Mr. Philip Biddle, general dealer, 1 Aberdare Road, took place at Maes- vrarian Cemetery on Tuesday, Rev. E. Burges officiating. A public meeting of the inhabitants of Aber- cynon was held at the Lesser Hall on Friday evening to consider the ques- tion of raising a memorial to Aber- cynon men killed in action. Coun- cillor Bruce Jones, J.P., occupied the chair, and was supported by Alessrs. I Thomas Davies, eheckweigher, secre- tary; Air. E. H. Battram, treasurer; and Mr. W. James Howell.
