LLAN FIHANGEL-ABERCO WIN. PARISH COUNCIL. —A meetim of the above council was held under the presidency of Mr J Thomas, Foxhole, on the 4th inst., at the Glasfyrn Board School, where they met in nccçrdnce with their decision at ¿the previous inee ir g, which was also the nrst of the new couucil. Tho old council used to meet in the Church vestry, which cost them Is 6d each time. The council very wisely decided to hold their meetings in future in the board schools—at Glaefryn and Bankyfelin alternately. The plan was politic, because it saves money, and the places Bait themselves equally W'3!! The riveting on Monday evening was a special cue, summoned to appoint overseets and managers of allotments. Messrs D Jones, Station-road, and John Evans, Gwalfy, were elected overseers Mr Charles Thomas was re-oleeted assistant overseer. Allotments and the common land were the subjects discussed afterwards. No important decisions were arrived at, but were left for some further consideia- The agenda of the next meeting will, we hope, contain something about water. Land is all very well, but the inhabitants of St. Clears rannot drink it. We praise the council for studying econemy, but we cannot drink gold and silver, however abundant they be. The water supply of the district deserves immediate and considerate attention, so let there be no more delay. If the council fight shy of the much- needed foot-path, surely they ought not to dsny the toilers and moilers a cup of water.
