Trap Ac6ident. On Penarth Road, on Tuesday morning, the 19th inst., Mr James Sajuk. grocer, &c., of Penarth, whilst driving into Cardiff, met with a terrible accident. One of Mr Parkei's tip carts ran into Mr Sajuk's trap. As soon as the N-, heels collided, the horse bolted, and the shafts were smashed to pieces. Mr Sajuk was thrown out, bui fortunately escaped without injury. The horse kictced off the footboard, and the boy, Richard Lmith, who was also in the tJap, got caught in the reins and was unable to get himself clear, yet strange to say. with the exception of a kick on the foot, he sustained no injury. Mr Westlake, driver of the Penarth Steam Laundry van, who was going to Car- diff at the same time, pulled his horse across the road so as to stop the runaway, and just in the nick of time caught the horse's hebd, and with Mr Sajuk, who had now overtaken the horse, it was brought to a standstill, but not before it had seriously hurt its left hind leg. Mr Sajuk is extremely grateful to Mr West- ake, for had it not been for his timely assistance, probably the consequences would have been far more serious.
