It is interesting to note that thirteen candidates passed at the Llandudno centre. Of these two secured honours—Mr Seth Hughes in pianoforte and Miss Phoebe Holland in violin playing. The above were pupils of Mr Westlake Morgan and Mrs H. W. Powlson. The other teachers of successful candidates were Mr LI. Jones, A.R.C.O., Miss Nixon, Miss Hewitt, and Miss Lee." As the Centre covers a large area, it is a matter for congratulation that five of the thirteen certificates have been earned by candi- dates from this immediate locality. The names of the successful candidates are: Violin-Honours: Phoebe Grace Holland, Plas Bodlondeb Ladies' School; Pianoforte:—Maude Aitken, Lilian M. V. Bland, Phoebe Grace Holland, Pattie Mc.'Kiver, all of whom are pupils of Mrs H. W. Powlson.
