THE Conway Rural District Council Invites Tenders for The Construction of Sewerage Works at Penrhyn, comprising the Providing and Laying of about 300 lineal yards of 9 in. Cast-iron Outfall Sewer on Foreshore, 3000 lineal yards of Glazed and Socketed Earthenware Pipe Sewers, 12 in., 9 in., and 6 in. diameter, together with all Man- holes and Covers, Gullies, Flushing Tanks, Ventilators, and Connections and all other Works connected therewith. CONTRIBUTORY PLACE OF PENRHYN. TO THE RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL OF CONWAY;- AND TO ALL OTHERS WHOM IT MAY CONCERN. WHEREAS in pursuance of an Order issued by Us, the Local Government Board, and dated the 8th day of February, 1875, issued under the Public Health Act, 1872, the Rural District Council of Conway are invested with certain of the powers, rights, duties, capacities, liabilities, and obligations of an Urban District Council as regards the whole of their District; And whereas we have received from the said Rural District Council an application under Section 276 of the Public Health Act, 1875, to put in force certain provisions of that Act as herein- after mentioned: NOW THEREFORE, in pursuance of the powers given to Us by the Statutes in that behalf, We hereby Declare and Order as follows:— ARTICLE I.-Until We by Order otherwise direct, the provisions of Section 154 of the said Public Health Act, 1875, shall be in force within the contributory place of Penrhyn, so far as to enable the said Rural District Council to make a new road at Penrhyn Side, in that contributory place, starting from a point at the junction of Penrhyn Road with the road leading from Colwyn Bay to Llandudno, and proceeding in a southerly direction to a point at the junction of the said Penrhyn Road with the road from Conway and opposite to a house known as Bella Vista; and the said Rural District Council shall, for the purpose of making the said road, but not for any other purpose, be invested with all the powers, rights, duties, capacities, liabilities, and obliga- tions of an Urban District Council, under such provisions, within the said contributory place. ARTICLE II.—The expenses incurred or payable by the said Rural District Council in the execution of the powers conferred upon them by Article I. of this Order, except so far as such expenses may relate to their Establishment and Officers, shall be deemed to be Special Expenses" within the meaning of the said Public Health Act, 1875. and shall be charged as such upon the said contributory place of Penrhyn. ARTICLE III.—This Order sha!l come into operation on the Twenty-fourth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and the said Rural District Council shall cause it to be published once in some newspaper circulated within their District before that date. Notice is hereby given that the said Urban Authority, on the 14th day of January, 1896, passed a resolution in the following terms, viz.: Resolved that tbe specification, plans, sec- tions, and provisional apportionments of the cost of sewering, levelling, paving, metalling, "flagging, channelling, and making good of Marine Road (North), Colwyn Bay, as presented "to this meeting by the Surveyor, be approved, "and that the above resolution be published in "the local newspaper called The Weekly News for two consecutive weeks, and published at or "near the Marine Road (North), once in each of "three successive weeks, and copies thereof be served on the owners of the premises shewn as "liable to be charged in the provisional appor- tionment, and that the approved specifications, "plans and sections, estimate and provisional "apportionment be deposited at the Urban District Council Offices, Colwyn Bay, and be "open to inspection from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, "except on Saturdays, when the same shall be open to inspection from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during one month after the date of the first publication of this notice."
