Offices: Town Hall Auction Mart, Rhyl; (1356 Notices. THE CHURCH CLOCK. At the Easter Vestry on Monday the 29th a resolution was passed to the effect that it was absolutely necessary to repair and renovate the Church Clock, if it was to be kept in good working order and to continue a correct and reliable index to the passing of time. To prevent the obstruction of the hands by debris introduced by jack- daws, a wire netting was proposed. The painting of the dials and the gilding of the hands and figures are not only desirable to show the time from a far distance but essentially required to save the hands and dials from rust and decay. This will be an expensive item, and coupled with the wire netting, the cleaning of the works and the requisite scaffolding it is computed that the entire cost will not be far short of Fifty Pounds. And as the clock is a public benefit, an appeal is confidently made to all who derive benefit from it irrespectively of creed and denomination. Donations towards this pur. pose will be thankfully received by the Vicar and Churchwardens, ard as soon as the requisite amount is raised the work of renovation will be taken In hand- The following sums have been already promised; E a. d: T.Winston,Esq 5 0 0 The Vicar » 8.
