'That the present price of Produce is totally unequal to meet the expendituie to which the Farmer is liable and that, except in the best soils, very little now remains p for Rent; and that nothing can remove the present appalling distress but the adoption of some measures which will either raise the price of Produce to the level of the burthens imposed, or bring down the burthens to the level of present prices. •• That the result of the present state of things must inevitably cause a gradual diminution in the quantity of home grown Wheat, and be productive of most lamentable consequences.
