FISHGUARD NATIONAL SCHOOLS ;> HITHERTO we have abstained from pro- 1 nouncing an opinion one way or the other concerning' the management of these schools. A great deal of correspondence has appeared vtCek after week i:i our columns, and we have endeavoured, as far as it lays in our power, to conduct our journal, strictly neutral throughout. It is evident that -no attempt has been made by any of the writers, to place the matter clearly before the public. We think some- one should have explained to. thç parish- ioners the cause of the delay in forming a proper body of Managers according to the Trust Deeds. It will bo rpmeinbered that on October 2nd a mooting of subscribers to the .National .Schools was convened at the' Temperance Hall for i-ho purpose of elect- ing a Committee of Management. Five gentlemen were elccicd at time meeting, to act with the Vicar and Curate in the 'management. The election was for Fish- guard National Schools," and it is clear, from the conversation we have had with, many of the voters as well as those qualified to act as Managers, that the election at .the Temperance Hall meeting was understood to be for the three schools." But since the above e'ection other Trust Deeds have been found, and it -,I t ;appe t s, these that the electors at the Temperance id all could only elect JSlauagers for the 'ó Boys' School."— So as to place the matter as plain as possible before the public, we may explain that the Boys' School is to be managed by five managers besides the Vicar Ctirate, and to be elected by subscribers to the school of 10s and. upwards; and those
