Rhondda Association Football League. The annual meeting of the above League was held on Wednesday evening last with Mr. W. C. Cook, Williamstown, in the chair. The officers elected for the next season were: -President, Mr. D. J. Jones, Ynyshir; vice-presidents, Messrs. Leonard W. Llewelyn (re-elected), Edgar Hall, M.E., Pentre, 1-1. E. Maltby, M.E., Mardy, Fred Lewis, M.E., Williamstown, J. D. Williams, J.P., Clydach Court, Dr. Parry, J.P., Ferndale, Messrs. D. Wil- liams, Pontypridd, Ei. Williams, Peny- graig, D. Phillips, Tylorstown, Dr. Carroll, Trehafod, and Mr. Barnes O'Hare, Fern- dale; chairman of committee, Mr. Danl. Phillips; hon. secretary, Mr. D. Davies, Ynyshir (re-elected); hon. treasurer, Mr. W. E1. Cook, Williamstown; auditors, Messrs. W. Robbins and W. John. It was reported that the League was in a favourable position, and after pay- ment of expenses there was a sum of nearly C5 in hand. All the speakers ex- pressed the keenest hopes and anticipa- tions of a successful season. Discussion arose as to the advisability of running a Third Division and forming the League into a district. The first recommendation is likely to be adopted, but both will be brought up for further consideration. A claim of 12s. by the Mardy Club was allowed. Mr. D. Davies (hon. secretary) was nominated for a seat on the South Wales and Monmouthshire Football Association Committee. An interesting and welcomed offer was made by Mr. Barnes O'Hare of a, valuable challenge cup for competition, the pro- ceeds to be handed over to the Porthcawl Rest. The customary votes of thanks were passed.
