In the morning, an address was given on Sunday School Work." Solos, recita- tions, dialogues, duets, &c., were very creditably given by the Sunday School scholars, and select music was rendered by the chapel choir, conducted by Mr. D. Gower, and accompanied by A. Summers. On Friday evening last, the workmen of the Treherbert Brewery held a concert at the Castle Hotel for < the purpose of presenting Mr. R. H. Jones, of the Brewery, with a marble clock on the occa- sion of his marriage. There was a very large attendance, and the evening was a most enjoyable one. Messrs. D, Davies, Share, Hooper, Rogers1, Barnes, Lewis, Brower and Francis contributed towards an excellent programme. The first part of the programme having been gone through the Chairman (Mr. J. L. -Evans) made the presentation in a very happy speech. Further addresses were given lay Messrs. B. R. Griffiths and W. H. Rogers. Mr. Jones, in responding, said that he valued the present, not for its actual worth, but because of the kind thoughts and wishes which accompanied it. He had been among them for a. number of years, and he thought that during the whole time he had not known a more congenial body of men. He was highly delighted with the present, and he was sure that his appreciation would be. shared by the lady who had done him the honour of becoming his wife. The second part of the programme was then pro- ceeded with, and the meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem. BEANSTICKS in Bundles, large or small quantities.—R. T.
