I Local Wedding. BEYAN—THOMAS. A Very pretty wedding was solemnised at Bethel (E.B.) Chapel, Tonypandy, on Wednesday, the 17th inst., the contract- ing parties being Miss Alice Maude Thomas, the eldest daughter of Mr. Chas. Thomas, 2, Gelli Road, Tonypandy, and Mr. Phillip Bevan, son of Mr. Morgan Bevan, 4, Ayton Terrace, Llwynypia. The bride, who looked very charming in a dress of pink crepe-de-Chine and a hat to match, was given away by her father, and was attended by her cousin, Miss Florrie Williams, who looked dainty in a mole dress with hat to match, and Mrs. Stephen Hughes (sister to the bride- groom) as bridesmaids. The duties of best man were performed by Mr. Stephen Hughes. The -aistor of Bethel, Rev. J. E. Dennis, officiated. After the cere- mony, a reception was held at the resi- dence of the bride's parents, at which many guests were present, and hearty wishes were extended to Mr. and Mrs. Bevan. The bride's father is well known in the district as the late bandmaster of the Hibernia Band. The bridegroom was also at one time a very active member of the Llwynypia Flute Band. A large number of useful and costly presents were received.
