Witness was -if ^o go and search the men, and in randant's waistcoat pocket lie found a match. A fine of 30s. was imposed. COLLIER-BOY'S WAGES. '.) James Kite, collier-boy, Rhydfelin, I ontypndd, sued Frederick Longman, Barry, for 19s. due to him as one week's Wages. Mr. Stanley Jones, Pontypridd, appeared for complainant. Complainant said that he worked with defendant underground at a colliery in Pontypridd. He had worked for defen- dant for six days, at a wage of 3s. 2d. a day. At the end of the week defendant did not pay him, and he made enquiries at the colliery office, but had not seen him since. Judgment was given for complainant. SLAPPED POLICEMAN'S FACE. Morgan Jones, rider, Politygwaith, was charged with assaulting the police. P.O. Moore said that on Saturday, the A5th inst., at Ynyshir, he was taking defendant into custody on another charge, when he became very abusive. He slapped Witness in the face and ran away. Wit- ness ran after him and caught him, ^hereupon he struck witness several Klines, and tried to get away. Eventually, WIth the aid of a car driver, he was con- Veyed to Porth Police Station. A fine of j63 was imposed. UNATTENDED HORSE. Wm. Hooper, Trealaw, was fined 10s. or leaving nis horse unattended. INEBRIATES.
