Three on the LAW of REAL and PERSONAL PROPERTY, and two on the PRINCIPLES of CONVEY- ANCING. The Lectures will be equally suitable for Intermediate and Final Students, and the Students will be entitled to the use of the Law Library, as well as partake of the privileges of other College Students. Notes and News. SWANSEA has now the biggest halfpenny evening newspaper in Wales. That's some- thing in Abertawe's cap at any rate. AN increasingly popular summer pastime in South Wales is baseball. JUDGE BRYN ROBERTS has just celebrated his first anniversary in that capacity. MR. CLEMENT EDWARDS, M.P., scored well over Kier Hardie. This is not the first time that the Scotch representative for a Welsh constituency has made allegations that he cannot substantiate. MR. D. A. THOMAS is now known as The Merthyr Catechist." He asks so many questions. A KELT correspondent writes Cannot somebody prod up our Welsh M.P.'s, and make them do some fighting for Welsh interests, like the Irish M.P.'s do ? THE Welsh M.P.'s are goint to present Mr. E. W. Davies, M.P., with a suitable testi- monial for creating another record in Parlia- mentary life. WELSH CHURCH DEDICATIONS is the subject of the Rev. J. Fisher's lecture before the Hon. Society of Cymmrodorion at 20, Hanover Square, on Wednesday evening next. The Bishop of St. Asaph is expected to preside, and members and friends are specially invited to be present. INDICATIONS go to show that there will be magnificent choral contests at the National Eisteddfod in Swansea this year. There are splendid entries already. MANY people will find it hard to believe that there is more drunkenness in Cardigan- shire, per head of the population, than there is in Cardiff. The Government Blue Book, recently issued, shows that such is, however, the case. THE new Inspector of Inland Revenue at Somerset House, London, Mr. J. J. Gilesman, comes from Carmarthen, where he has been stationed as supervisor of Inland Revenue for six and a quarter years. Mr. Gilesman was very popular in the ancient Welsh Borough. THERE are 17 places of worship at Cardiff, considerably less than in London. YALE University, in America, was founded by a Welshman. So was the well-known Brynmawr College in the same country. RECENT Blue book statistics show that Cardiff is, on the basis of population, about the most sober place in Wales. The fact has caused quite a sensation, there being a general supposition outside the city that Cardiff is a very drunken place. EVERY Nonconformist minister does not die poor. The late Rev. William Williams, of 3, Gladstone Place, Tredegar, Calvinistic Methodist Minister, left estate valued at £ 956 Os. 8d. gross. THE contents bill of a South Wales even- ing journal on Monday read as follows :— Triplets born to Welsh M.P. It created quite a mild sensation in the district. THE Brothers Evans, of Peubonc, Cardi- gan, continue to be consulted by hundreds of cancer patients drawn from all parts of the United Kingdom. A KELT correspon- dent, who knows the brothers well, states that there is no questioning their honesty and deep religious piety. They are both good musicians. THE last Aberystwyth Town Council meeting was as noisy as ever. Here are a few choice sayings which a KELT corres- pondent culled from the report of the meet- ing: "Dirty tongue," Tupenny doll," Send for the police," We are not on the quarter deck now," "You won't kill me," You ought to be thrown out," What you say is of no account," "I don't want a lawyer to explain the standing orders," "Nor a stone-mason," &c. LAST week a motor 'bus careered gaily through Chancery Lane bearing the inviting legend Newcastle-Emlyn to Cardigan." Mr. W. H. Lewis who was standing outside his office at the time, and being a native of south Cardigan, instinctively boarded the vehicle thinking he was to enjoy a mid-day ride along the banks of the Teify. But alas a sudden stoppage soon proved to him that he was still amidst the thick of London traffic. The vehicle was on its way to its country destination, where it will ply during the coming summer months.
