Holloway. On Wednesday, May 1st, Mrs. Jemima Davies, wife of Mr. Thomas Davies, 120, Cottenham Road, Holloway, N., passed peacefully away at their residence, at the age of 57 years, after a long illness, which she bore with great fortitude and patience. The deceased was a native of Aberystwyth, being the daughter of the late Mr. Daniel Thomas, Nag's Head. The interment took place on Tuesday, the 7th inst., at the Islington Cemetery, East Finchley, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends, many of whom had come from a long distance to pay the de- parted their last tribute of respect. The chief mourners were Mr. Thomas Davies (husband), and 10 children Mrs. Jenkins (sister), Mr. and Miss Jenkins, Buckingham Road, Mrs. Jones (sister), and Mr Richie Jones, Rosoman Street; Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Evans, Kingsland Road; Mr. and Mrs. J. Davies, Oxford Street, Stepney Mrs. Jones and Mr. Charlie Jones, Whitecross Street; Miss Morgan, Clapton; Mrs. Smith, Durham; Mr. Morgan, Brecknock Road; Mr. T. R. Lewis, East Ham Mr. J. The coffin was covered with wreaths, an evident token of the high esteem in which the deceased was generally held. Her loss will be deeply felt at Sussex Road Chapel, where she was a member for upwards of 28 years. The Rev. R. 0. Williams and G. H. Havard officiated at the house, and the former, with the Rev. J. Williams to a large and attentive congregation.
