COUNTY COUNCIL BY-ELECTION. The polling for the election of a membex foT one of the Carnarvon wards on the County Council took placet on Saturday. Dr. Robert Parry was the Liberafl candidate and Mr H. Lloyd Carter was the nominee off the Conserva- tive party. Mr Garten w,ais elected by 257 votes against 219 Icast for his opponent. The political complexion cif the Council remains the same.
