THE ADVERTISER SAYS That owing to pressure on our space, we have been ohliged to hold over until next week a. number of articles and Iocal paragraphs. That the "Pilot" will he delivered on Tuesday next, and each number will contain a copy of F.R.S.'s latest black and white drawing, entitled Christmas Shopping at Llandudno. That the "Advertiser" will foe published on Thursday next week, and with each copy will be gifven an almanac, contain- ing, in addition to much useful information, a recent portrait of the King. » That the Guardian Society Dinner, held at the Imperial Ho/tel on Friday even- ing, was a pronounced success. That there were nearly one hundred and twenty persons present. That the catering and waiting were high- n ly satisfactory. That Mr Chinnock's speech was followed with great attention. That he made a great many suggestions which could be applied with advantage by most business men. That portions of his speech dealt with business as it was conducted in great commercial concerns. That, several of his suggestions, as to the advertising of Llandudno wiRl probably be considered: by the Town Improve- ment Association. That a very welcome item of the pro- gra.mme was the excellent and practical speech made by Mr J. B. Jones in replying to the toast of the Army and Navy. That it was declared by the majority to he the best response on this, subject ever heard a-t Llandudno. # That the speech of Mr El. W. Johnson was undoubtedly the oration of the evening. That his points were admirably phrased, although moderately worded, and fre- quently elicited loud applause. That his advice should certainly receive the consideration it deserves, and have considerable influence when the Sun- day question as it concerns our visitors is being dealt wibh. That any old toys or picture books will be most useful to amuse the children at St. Andrew's Mothers' Meeting. That donors may bring them there any Monday between 2-30 and 3-30, or r send them to Miss Champneys, Epper- stone, Abbey Road. That the gentleman who slipped on a banana skin recently in Mostyn Street hopes the passers-by who overheard his remarks will kindly forget them. That a silver-mounted umbrella, which was considered completely lost some six months ago, has mysteriously re- appeared. That the news of the dearth of Professor Prout was read with regret by the many who remember him, and the prominent part he took in the. Musicians' Con- ference at Llandudno some years ago. That the Conference will again be, invited to visit Llandudno. That Mr Llewelyn Jones!, of Llanfair- feehan, the hon. secretary for North Wales, is using his influence in the matter. That the Llandudno Council will also associate themselves with the invita- tion. That those who remember the last con- ference will unite with us in the ex- pression that Llandudno had never known such a, pleasing week during the winter months. That the Conference takes, place the first week in the, new year, the mornings being devoted to business and the even- ings to receptions, dances, concerts, and other forms of entertainment. That the Pavilion was the scene of a, round of enitertainmenfe the, whole, of the, week. That sincei they were last here, a larger number than ever attend the, con- ference. That their selection of towns is limited, owing to the fact tihat comparatively few towns have, sufficient hotel accom- modation. That at a meeting of the Carnarvonshire Constitutional Associatibn on Satur- day Conservative candidates were selected for the three divisions of the County. That on the recommendation of the Arvon Conservative Executive Mr Arthur Hughes was again adopted as the candidate for North Canarvonshire. That Mr Hughes, at the last, General Election opposed Mr Wm. Jones in the same division. That he is a well-known barrister practis- ing in London, and is a, brother of the O 7 Rector of Llandudno. Taiht Mr H. C. Vincent was selected as the candidate to oppose M:r Lloyd- Georgie in the Boroughs. That he is a member of an old family, closely associated wilth Carnarvonshire and Anglesey. That he is keenly interested in agricul- ture, and is an officer of the Denbigh- shire Hussars (Imperial Yeomanry). Tha,t it witll be, noted from the reports in another column re the loss on the water supplied to Messrs. Ind Coope and Co. that, the Llandudno Water and Gas Committee have; now gone thoroughly into the matter and intend to take such action as to make a, similar loss impos- sible iin the future. < That is alii we advocated when the "Ad- vertiser" first made the loss known, as we recognised it was useless crying over spilt milk, or in other words, shouting loudly because of the loss of money sustained. Railway Com- pany are certainly doing their best to advertise North Wales, in winter as weHl a,s in summer. Tha,t they have just issued a well-printed and neatly illustrated guide to the various towns of North Wales pointing out the mildnesis of climate and other advantages as a wiriter resort.
