DISASTROUS FIRE. The co-operative stores at Consett were destroyed by fire this morning. The damage, which is estimated at upwards of EWOOO, is covered by insurance. A boy was injured by a falling wall, and other persons had narrow escapes. MAIDSTONE'S SCOURGE. Four fresh cases of typhoid were notified at Maidstone yesterday. Nearly all the persons stricken down recently reside in the infected Farleigh area. The total cases number 1,842, of which nearly three hundred are secondary. THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS IN AUSTRALIA.
