Chester, March 5, 1888. I suffered from rheumatic pains in my arms and legs for over five years. I also had a bruised shinbone, through which I could rest for only a few minutes at a time. All sorts of remedies were applied, but none did any good for more than a few days. I was recom- mended to try Clarke's Blood Mixture, which I did, and on taking the first bottle I felt relief. I was told that eleven botiies would effect a perfect cure. I only took nine bottles and a half, which cost me 2s 6d per bottle. It is now ten months since, and I have not felt the least pun—in fact, I am perfect in ray walk, and am in as good health as ever I was in my life. Moreover, I told two friends of mine who were laid up with rheumatic pains of my cure, and they tried your Clarke's Blood Mixture. They are tailors by trade. and in seven ctays they were at work again, and they iay it cannot be too higtily praised.-Hoping I am not intruding, I remain, yours sincerely, "G. Messrs WLLKINS and CO., BRECON OLD BANK, LLANELLY, are authorised by the Llanelly Harbour and Burry Navigation Commissioners, under the "Llanelly Harbour Act, 1878," and the "Llanelly Local Board Act, 1888. to received application for Debenture Bonds bearing 3i per cent. interest, which will be issued fre from Stamp Duty nr other charge and for such sums as mar suit investors. The Commissioners are empowered nnder the Acts to borrow £50,000, but the sum now offered to the public is £45,000. The greater portion of the loan is required to payoff existing bonds. The remainder is to be devoted to harbour improve- ments now in progress and nearly completed. Present holders of bonds representing £14,000 have applied for the new issue, thus leaving only £ 31,000 for new aoplicaiits. Under the before-mentioned Acts of Parliament the barbour commissioners ar", empowered to offer all security the revenues of the harbour, and as collateral security the annual income of the Llanelly Town Free- hold Estate and a chargo upon the general district rate of the town to the extent of sixpence in the pound per annum upon the assessable value of the property in the district. Under the Acts ot 1878 and 1888 tbe Harbour Com- mÏB8ioners are compelled to establish a sinking fund (of which annual returns will be made to the Local Government Board) to extinguish the debt in 50 years from the 1st Janu ry, 1890. the first instalment having to be paid at that date. The amount required to meet the interest and pro- vide a sinking fund for replacement of the loan at the end of tifty years is £1,975 per annum. The Surplus Revenue of the Llanelly Harbour after allowing jj1,200 for Maintenance and Management is £2.COO The ¡"reehold Town Estate produces at present yearly And Sixpence in the £ on property assessable to the General District Rate produces at present „ £1,300 £4,300 That sum is £2,32t> in excess of the Annual Liability for interest and contributions to the Sinking Fund. The tirst-class character of the security is proved by the fact that the lien on the revenue of the Town Estate and the General District Rate is more than sufficient to cover the annual payment. Harbour Loans depend as a rule on the Harbour Dues solely. The repayment of the Llanelly Harbour Loan being assured in case of need from sources o un- doubted as the Town Freehold Estate and tbe General District Rate makes it unquestionably a first-class investment. Llanelly is an important and rapidly increasing place, comprising within its borders many and varied industries. These include copper and lead works, tin. plate works, iron foundries, chemical works, col- lieries, etc. The Town Estate consists of very valuable Building Ground, and the rental thereof is increasing every year. The assessable value of the Town is also annually increasing. Tbe Revenue derived from the IJauelly Harbour has I increased fifty per cent. during the last the years, and there is every indication that the increase will con- tinue. Interest will be paid half-yearly on 1st July and 1st January, and the Coupons will be cashed in London and at the Branches of the Brecon Old Bank free of Commission. The Bunds can be issued for a term of years or sub- ject to six or twelve months' notice, as desired by the Investor. Forms of application can be obtained at Messrs Wilkins and Co.'s. Bank at Llanelly, Brecon, Cardiff, Merthyr, Aberdare, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, and Cardigan, or at the Office of the Clerk to the Commis- sioners, Town-hall, Llanelly. A respectable young woman, not more than 20 years of age, lives at 63, Bridge-street, New Swindon, Wilts.. Her name is Culline, Seven months ago this poor creature became a mother, and a week later took cold, and became perfectly paralysed. Her case was the most deplorabla we have ever witnessed, for she could not move hand or foot, and her legs were very much tucked the feet were turned in and much best out of shape, In this helpless state she lay in the home of her parents carefully etched by the mother. She is her mother's only child, and a more helpless baby now than at any time in her life. All care a'Jd attention were bestowed upon her, and the medical mpn who doubtless tried all that they knew, as the saying goes, declared it utterly hopelesffc nothing on this earth could save her bar in order that the parent* should be satisfied, she could be removed to some London hospital, where other medical men could be consulted. The poor yount; r/e ;ture was carefully taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where she got worse. After remaining for a month nothing could be done for t her she would die within a week, her parents were told, who determined to net her home. After her removal to Swindon she grew worse, lost her speech and sight, and sometimes her teeth were shut firmly and unopenable. The headache, which had been < incessant, was now distressing. The parents had now no hope of their only child, and the baby, too, was very ill and not expected to live. The husband, who worked at the G. W.R. Carriage Works, had heard so j much of the wonderful cures effected by the Moonseed Bitters, that he could re-ist no longer but stealthily procured a bottle and gave his wife cmiy as he could catch the opportunity. The first d.)se relieved the head she slept, and the parents atiu neighbours mar velledat the change. For sume d he ausband faithfully administered the little drops of Moon- seed Bitters. In a week the patient could reason and move her fingers and left hand. The medical men were astonished at the improvement. In a fortnight the tucked legs could be put straight, the left arm freely used, and the patient could feed herself and turn over in bed. The medical men, who had been very carefully watching the case, now learned the secret. The mother hastened to consult the proprietor of Moonseed Bitters, who, uuon seeing the case, said h could put the patient upon her legs in a month One of the surgeons who had attended the case said that the proprietor of Moonseed Bitters would be a baronet if h8 did cure the patient. However. she could walk downstairs at the month's end, and is now daily seen walking about the streets of New Swindon, with less than two months' treatment, to the astonishment of all its inhabitants. The infant, too, is perfectly cured. The proprietor of Mocnseed Bitters, who has s; ent thousands of pounds in experimenting, has long ago come to the conclusion that the present system of medicine is & absolute farce, and that thousands that I are being swept away would be cured if they would insist upon taking Moonseed Bitters. IT IS THE ONLY CURE FOR CONSUMPTION. Hundreds of patients apply tc me (who are said to be consumption by some of the best English practi- tioners) who are not consumptive H. all. Many of these 1 are offended as being told that they are suffering from some mucous mischief, 1 have seen many tmdreds who have taken large quantities of a largely advertised article said to cure consumption I have never seen one consumptive benefited by it, but I have known many die while taking it. I hav6 known many who had been told by some medical men that they were con- siunptiver who had a severs cough and expectoration, benefited, and some few cured; and, of course, a testimonial was sens to the effect that another con- sumptive had been cured The patient believing it to be true, and the advertiser, not knowing any better, advertised it a.-i uch. We never accept a testimonial from any person woo bus not been given up as in. curable and we never publish any case unless it comes under our direct car* A good vegetable medicine is as necessary as food. On the 15th day of December last which is less than three months ago, it was decided to remove a cancer from my left breast hy amputation, which has caused much pain and in. convenience. My health has broken up for a long time, being unable to do anything for myself and family. I am thankful to God that we blard of you. My husband consulted you on the day previous to the terrible 15th of December, only just in time to prevent the operation, when you said you could cure me. I now rejoica to inform you that my breast is perfectly cured, and I am ill good health and spirits.—Yours truly, ADA GWYTHER. At the General Hospital, Birmingham, 30 mineral drug men saw him, and u-ciared it was mys- terious how he lived one hour aftet the other he might drop dead at any moment. He determined to come out and die at iiome, but he saw the proprietor of that truly marvellious compound Moonseed Bitters,' the result being that Mr Be „heli was perfectly cured, and has worked six years since," LATEST TESTIMONY AS TO MOONSEED BITTEKS Upper Park, Welsh Bicknor, near Ross, Herefordshire, February 17th, 1888. DEAR <1&1 cannot thank you enough for your advertising the Moonseed Bitters it has been a great blessing to me, as I have been a great sufferer for three years, and been given up by seveu doctors, and the last was the head physician of the Samaritan Hospital, London, where I was seyit by my doctor after twelve months' treatment, and for the last six months he visited me every week. Then he said he could do no more for m. as it was cancer in the back, and I must go through an operation. I went to Lon- don, where they held a consultation over me, and came to the conclusion that I was too weak, and it was combiued too much in the back, so I was sent home incurable, where I kept my bed for 10 months, and could not get out or in bed without help, when a friend brought in the Ross Gazette for me to read, and I saw the Moonseed Bitters advertised. I told my husband that I should like to try it. and he said 1 was to try a bottle, but it, may be thro-a n away like the rest. I got a bottle, and the third day I felt better, and in a week 1 could dress myself and walk from one room to the other, and in a fort night I could cotfie downstairs, and after I wake up from sleep I feel quite refreshed, but I always used to be so weary. My friends all say that I am a wonder.and it is a great mystery wo. Moonseed Bitters have done. Yen are at liberty to make use of this.- I remain, yours truly, MARY ANN LocKE. This truly marvellous remedy ha* been highly im- proved, and a 4s bd bottle contains a full month's medicine. No doctur or physician is required.
