TO THE RATEPAYERS OF THE PARISH OF TREVETHIN. FELLOW RATEPAYERS,—The receutScboolBoard Election has resulted in a great success to th« cause of Unsectarian Education, the Five Unsectariaa Candi- dates having been returned by an aggregate of TEN THOUSAND AND TWENTY-ONE VOTES, while the Five Denominational Candidates polled only Four Thousand Five Hundred and Forty-six Votes, a conclusive proof that in demanding five Unsectarian Members for the Board we were asking less than we might fairly claim. The result clearly shows that you might have returned several more Members, and this notwithstanding the defective condition of the Rate Book (which in future must be remedied) and the unfortunate want of proper organisation at the Polling Booths, which debarred many of vou from recording your Votes. We congratulate all Friends of Unsectarian Educa tion on this noble victory, and we tender our best thanks to the many friends who, in the different polling dis- tricts, so assiduously and successfully laboured for this result; whilst to the mass of the Voters, many of whom attended and polled at great personal inconvenience, our hearty thanks are also given. Fellow Ratepayers! we trust this triumphant success will teach you the power you possess, and encourage you to further efforts in the same good cause. W. CONWAY J. DANIEL, J. T. EDMONDS W.
