ST. JULIAN'S MISSION CHURCH AND SEAMEN'S ROOMS.—The Rev. T. D. Forde, A.B., Dunmore East, well known to the Tenby Fishermen who go over to Ireland, held au interesting meeting for fishermen on Saturday evening in the Seamen's Rooms, and gave an address from St. Mark 4, v. 38. The Rev. G. E. Wariow also gave an address. On Sunday there were services at St. Julian's at 11 and 6 o'clock. The Rev. T. D. Forde preached at both services in the morning from the text Matt. 16, v. 28, subject, Value of the soul," evening, Rom. 1, v. 16, subject, Power of the Gospel." After evening service, a meeting was again held in the Seamen's Rooms, and the Rev. T. D. Forde gave another address from 2nd Tim. 3, v. 15, subject, "Salvation." THE ARMAGH DISASTER. The negotiations between the solicitors of the Great Northern Railway Company of Ireland and the solicitors representing the claimants for com- pensation in connection with the recent railway disaster- at Armagh are proceeding slowly. The offers of the railway company range for the most part from £5 to JE50 but none of the more serious cases have yet been dealt with. In some cases JE6,000 are claimed.

The next competitive examination of Militia subalterns for commissions in the Army will be held on the 11th and 12th of September, the medical inspection taking place on the 10th of that month.
