HOW MR. WALKER PASSED. It has been well said that If you want to know whether you are really ill or really well, i make a proposal for Life Insurance." Be sure that if you are well you will certainly be passed, but if you have any trace of serious disease the Medical Examiner will certainly discover it. Many men and women learn for the first time, when they. undergo a medical examination for Insurance, that they have some serious disease. It comes to them as a great shock, and casts a gloom over their life from that day onwards. Hope seems clouded out-for it is so seldom that anyono who fails for Life Insurance passes the doctor afterwards. But happily the experience of Mr Walker, of Braefoot Place, Douglas, Lanark, is just the con- trary. Some years ago he underwent an exami- nation for Life Insurance, but to his dismay he was told by the doctor that he could not be passed, as there were distinct indications of disease of the kidneys. And the doctor's words proved to be only too true; before many weeks had passed, Mr Walker broke down completely whilst at his work and had to be taken home. For three months he was idle and without income—a serious matter for him, a married man with four children. Al- though almost in despair of recovering, Mr Walker began using Doan's Backache Kidney Pills at this time, and eventually lie felt com- pletely cured. He then went aga.in to be examined fur Insurance, and to his great relief was passed by two doctors. Mr Walker is now insured with a well-known Life Office and two Friendly Societies. Mr Walker's triumph marks a new era in the history of medicine, and the greatest interest is everywhere being shown in his case, which is reported at length throughout the Press of the country. Any readers interested are invited to write to the Foster-McClellan Co., 8, Wells Street, Oxford Street, London, W., for a Handbook on Kidney Disease, which will be sent entirely free of charge.
