On Wednesday afternoon Miss Blackwall, the young daughter of Mrs Blackwall, Dol- hyfryd, and little Miss Redfern, of the Rectory, were riding their ponies in Park-street, when something frightened one of the horses grazing in a field adjoining the lane, which commenced to neigh and gallop rapidly this in turn startled the pony which Miss Blackwall was riding, causing it to plunge suddenly and throw the young lady, whose foot being held in the stirrup caused her to be dragged along a little. Hearing a scream Mr and Mrs Auwyl ran out and found the young lady in this dangerous condition. They went to her help, and being joined by Mr William Owen Parry, the coachman of the Misses Lewis, the young lady was got free and saved from further injury and what might have been a very serious accident. She was oarried into the residence of Mr Anwyl, and Mrs and Miss Anwyl bathed her injuries, from which she was bleeding, and otherwise rendered her help. Dr James Hughes was sent for, and on his arrival hp attended to the young lady. Mrs Blackwall. it seemed, was in the Rectory, and on hearing of the occurrence was much alarmed, and hastened to Mr Anwyl and her daughter, and shortly afterwards had her removed in a closed carriage home. The pony was caught, having only been suddenly frightened. Fortunately Mr and Mrs Anwyl heard the scream and noise, and were quickly on the spot, as was the coachman, or the result might have been, serious.
