PROPOSED NEW SCHOOL AT GUAIANRHYD. Th" Education Committee some time ag«> dacHc-d, in response to a petition from the dis rict, and after holding an inquiry on the spot, to provide a new Council school at Gr.,ianrhyd. The Board of Education now wrote enclosing a copv of an appeal addressed to the Board by Mr F LI Jones, of Mold, on behalf of 195 ratepayers of the parish objecting to the proposed new school, and asking the Board of Education to hold an inquiry.- It was proposed that a reply sbauid be sent stating the ground upon which the Education Committee baed their decision to provide a Council school.-Mr D 8 Davies proposed that the reply be not sent. The matter had not been sprung upon them. It had been before them for months. It wae- an easy thing in a parish that extended many miles to raise an objection to a school, but they had to consider their auty as an educat>cj»<atrt}>Qyky, and he ped they would decid3, to erect the school at Gr&ianrhyd--M-c Cuocnar said be thought they should proceed with tbe matter. It wowdi be unwise to go baok because someone had obtained a petition ?ad seat it to the Beard of Education.-The Oairman said if the Com- f mittee felt that they were taking the- light. course in deciding., to erect a school they should not be afraid.. of defeat.
