CYNHADLEDD CAERNARFON. ----
CYNHADLEDD CAERNARFON. Bu clymblaid o wrthryfelwyr yn cynhadledda yn Nghaernarfon y dydd o'r blaen. Cynllwyn oedd en gwaith a chren chwyldroad oedd eu hamcan. Eu man cyfarfod ydoodo Capel y Methodistiaid. Carant roddi rhith a lliw cref- ydd ar bobpeth o'u heiddo. Er mai nycim cref- ydd fydd nn o'r effeithiau os cant en hewyllys, ni falient fotwm am hyny. Heb fod nepell oddi- wrthynt ceid y Castell hanesyddol. Taena ei gysgod dros v dref, gan adgoffa gwladgarwch a gwroniaeth dderch eu eymrodyr ganrifoedd yn ol. Ond nid oedd na gwladgarwch na gwron- iaeth yn nodweddn'r cyfarfod a gynhelid yn Moriah. Canys ni feddai y rhai a ymgynull- asant yno well amcan na gwasgu sefydliadau cenedlaethol o fodolaeth, anrheithio tegweh a chyfiawnder, cren ysgariadau a theimladan an- hynaws, a chvnull arian i gario allan en bwriad- au blwng. Ni welwyd ymddygiadau nac am- canion mwy haerllug a beiddgar odid erioed; ac onibae am y ddawn a fedd yr arweinwyr i lygad- dynu y wlad a'u medr a'n moddion vstrywgar i daenu mwgwd dros wrthuni eii gwaith, siawns wael fnasai ganddynt i lwyddo. Blaenor y glymblaid yw Mr Lloyd George. Efe yw ai-ch-gynllunydd y gwrthryfel, ac efe sy'n cynyrchu ac yn cadw v cyffro mwyaf. Ond er prysured yw parabl a lletted yw dylanwad oracl y Bwrdeisdrefi, nis dichon hyd yn nod efeo gario ei lympwyon allan heb gymhorth arian- ol. Ac yn Nghaernarfon fe'i gwelid megys a'i gap yn ei law, yn erefu cardod ac yn son am aberth ac egwvddorion, tegweh a chyfiawnder, ei cymhell haelfrydedd y sawl a'i gvrrandawai. Bu adeg pan ehvid arian yn "gregin heddweh, ond myn ete eu troi yn arfan gwrthryfel, i. ddinystrio sefydliadau a gynyrchwyd trwy ebyrth ein liynafiaid, oddiai, amcanion pnr i leshau a goleuo'r genedl. Bydd yn ddigon hnan i Mr Lloyd George a'i blaid bwysleisio egwyddorion pan ddysgant weithredu yn unol a hwy, ac y mae gwaith y glymblaid yn son cy- maint am aberth yn gwaradwyddo yr elfen fen- digaid hono yn mywyd y genedl ddvddian fu. Gair arall barablwyd yn uchel a llithrig yn y Gynhadledd ydoedd undeb. Buasai ymdeith- ydd anwybodus o hanes y wlad a'r helynt addysgol, pe yn troi i Moriah, yn tybio fod cv/hvm tangnefedd yn uno pawb yno. Ond yn mhlith y penaf wyr ceid Seneddwr Khyddfrydol Cymreig nodedig am aeddfedrwydd ei farn, ei ddoethineb, a'i bwyll, svdd wedi datgan yn glir yn erbyn y polisi gwrtliryfelgar. Mr Bryn Ro- berts, A.S., yw efe, ac v mae gair o'i enau ef yn werth mil o enau hunanolion vstrywgar fedd- ant lawer mwy o ddawn nag o ddoethineh. Hawdd y gall hyawdledd gvfTroi y sawl fo'n ei wrandaw, ond nid brwdfrydedd bvrhoedlog un- rhyw gynhadledd garia'r effaith ddyfnaf ar feddwl y wlad; a sicr ddiamheu mai barn oleu, bwyllog, gwyr fel yr aelod dros Eifion, en ill a. galon gwyr goreu'n gwlad. Cyn ei myned yn rhy ddiweddar, cryf yw'r gobaith yr atelir rhysedd y gwrthryfehvyr. 'Ofer yw rhuthro'r pen yn erbyn parwydydd y Senedd, a phar yr ymgais i "ymaflyd codwm" a'r Llywodraeth fwy o grechwen nag o gynydd, mwy o loes nag o lwyddiant, i'r ymgymerwyr. Nis gellir mewn unrhvw fodd gyfiawnhau ang- hyfraith. Nid yw canwyll pwyll wedi diffodd eto yn Nghymru y mae budd y wlad yn dibynu ar i wrthryfel ac aflonyddweh beidio; a goren po cyntaf y dysgir y wers i'r glymblaid ddreng sy'n cyffroi cymaint.

A:J-' FACTS FOR ADVERTISERS. HE NORTH WALES CHRONICLE still retains the premier position amongst Newspapers in the Northern 0 part of the Principality. Owing to the remarkable demand for advertising space, we are obliged to increase the size of the paper from 8 to 10 and 12 pages as occasion demands. To prove the increasing popularity 0 of the CHRONICLE ,as an Advertising medium, we may state that the number of ADVERTISEMENTS received during the months of Jan- uary, February, March and April of the current year, compared with the corresponding period last year, show an Increase of 28 per cent. Still far greater success has attended the CIRCULATION = of the CHRONICLE during the same ZD period, the figures showing an Increase of 37 per cent. These figures do not require very much explanation. The vigorous policy and the modern methods recently adopted in the production of the NORTH WALES CHRONICLE, have been attended with gratifying results as the figures given above testify. These improvements have naturally not been accomplished without a considerable expenditure of money, but the Proprietors are resolved to spare no expense in order to keep the NORTH WALES CHRONICLE to the forefront, as a faithful and accurate reflector of the news of the C week. Whilst it has for nearly a cen tury been an ardent and consistent supporter of Conservative and Union- ist principles, and of the Established Church, the NORTH WALES CHRONICLE is, as a matter of fact widely read by all sects and classes of the community. ■ "W APARTMENTS TO LET. ASWYBYDDU Y GOGLEDD. ----
ASWYBYDDU Y GOGLEDD. Chwerw yw siomiant y Gogledd, ac uchel yw gorhoian y Deheubarth. Dyfarniad dirpwyon y Cyfrin Gynghor parthed lleoliad ein sefydliad- au cenedlaethol yw'r achos o'r naill a'r Hall. Anweswyd y syniad yn Ngwynedd nad oedd un- man rhagorach na Chaernarfon i lettya creiriau hen a dyddorol ein gwlad a'n cenedl; ond er godidoced y Castell ac er cryfed yr awydd am weled ei lonaid o gywrain-bethau, ni farmvyd ef y lie goreti i'r amcan hwnw. Caerdydd gafodd ffafr y dirprwyon, ac yno maes o law y rhaid pererinio i syllu ar olion ein hanes mewn celf a gwyddor. Nid oedd unman yn y Gogledd yn ymgais am y Lyfrgell, a pharai hyny i'r gred gryfhau na wrthodid cais Caernarfon. Ategid y cais hwnw gan gynygion hael ac addewidion gwerthfawr. Ond ni thyciodd y cyfan, a chwerw yw'r siom (Pr herwydd. Nodweddid cais Caerdydd a Hawer o feiddgar- wch. Ni foddlonent hwy ar un sefydliad, eithr ymawyddent am y ddau. Yr oedd eu huche1- gais a'r modd yr ategwyd ef gan wreng a bon- eddy De 3n batrin-m i laiver ti-ef Gyinreig. Er nia Iwyddlasanit, lijac-ddaiit glod am eu pybynwdh a chawsant daledigaeth y gwobrwv drwy addew- id am y greirfa. Cvhoeddodd rhai o newydd- iaduron y Gogledd ensyniadaii iselwael am-Gaer- dydd megys nad oedd yn dref Gymreig ei nod- weddion na moesol ei chyineriad. Nid oedd dim i'w enill wrth roi'r fath anair iddi ar achlysur o'r fath. Gwrthbrofwyd yr ensyniad cyntaf gan yr ysbryd gwir Gymreig a gwiadgar a amlygwyd gan Gaerdydd wrth apelio mor gryf am y Greirfa a'r Llyfrgell; ac am yr ail ensyn- nid oedd a wnelo o gwbl fel y cyfryw a'r mater. Tra y carasem yn y Gogledd weled I( Caern.tt.rf en wedi ei detliiol yn Hetty i'r selydiiiad:. a thra vn eiddigeddu wrth ffawd dda Caerdydd, dylid ymatal rhag ensyniadau llawnach o won- 'I wyn nag o wladgarwch. Balch ydym fod y Llvfrgell i sicrhau cartref mewn tref mor ddymnnol ar bob cyfrif ag Aber- ystwyth. Caiff pob llyfrbryf yno fan tawel ar fin tywod, dan achles Coleg cyntaf y Brifysgol a thrysorau ein lien mewn ysgrif ac argraph wedi eu crynhoi iddi. Heblaw hyn, y mae'r dref yn lied ganolog a chvfleus i'w chvrhaedd, ac nid dibwys hyn. Ar lawer cyfrif y mae Ceredigion yn fwyna.ch i'r chwilotwr a'r darl!en- ydd rnyfyrgar na dwndwr Caerdydd, a bydd colled prif-ddinas y glo yn enill i'r genedl. Ond er v cwbl nis gellir llai na grwgnach am i hawliau cedym Caernarfon am greirfa gae! en hanwybyddu. Er cyfoethoced a haeled Caer- dydd, nid oes aur all brynu v Castell ar fin y Fenai. Hebddo ni bydd yr un greirfa Gyrniieig yii gyfiawn. Buasai ei furiau llwvdion, llydain, yn amwisg wych i greiriaiii- canrifoedd, a'i dyr- au beilch yn gwarchod drostynt i'w dyogelu. Ceid mwy 0 swyn hanes a henafiaeth ar bob- petn gedwid yuddo nag yn yr adeilad newydd godidocaf a godir yn Mharc Cathays, Caerdydd ac ni amheuwn vchwaith y buasai ball ar rodd- ion y Gogleddwyr i gyfoethogi ei gynwys. Prin hefyd yr oedd dull v detholiad yn gymcr adwv. Nis gellir amheu gonestnrydd na gal'ni y diirpnvyoJi, ond yr oedd dibynu ar dystrollaeth- au ysgrifenedig yn hytrach nag ymchwiliad cy- lioeddlus i wmndla w rhesymau pawb a'u medd'- ent dros ac yn erbyn hawliau y trefydd yn gwi;s y gellid yn hawdd ddethol ei ddoethach. Pe weui mabwysiadu y dull olaf, ni ryfeddeni cad Caernarfon fuasid yn ddewis. canys nid oes Dd- heuwr diragfarn na chydnebydd werth y Castell a'i laimgylichoedd i a/moaia o'r fath. Gan i'r dyfarniad achosi y fath siom i Wyn- eddwyr, ai nid cvmeradwy yr amser i fanteisio ar y cyfle i sicrhau i'r Gogledd ganghen o'r Greirfa Genedlaethol. Nid oes brinder trysor- au, a gellid yn hawdd addurno oddiniewn y Cas- tell a phethan at-dynol heb i hyny fod yn an- fantais i'r sefydliad yn Nghaerdvdd. --yder- v.n yr hyrwyddir mudiad o'r fath er lleddfu y siom presenol. Os gwneir, ni raid eiddigeddu hyd chwerwedd at ffawd Caerdydd ac Aberys- twyth.
