(Revival of Powers and Extension of Time for Purchase of Lands and Extension of Time for Construction of Railways and Works authorised by the Wirral Railway Act 1898, as extended by the Wirral Railway Act 1903; Extension of Time for Sale of Superfluous Lands; Applica- tion of Surplus Capital to purposes of Bill; Power to provide run work and use motor cam or other vehicles in connection with Railway and to make agreements in relation thereto and to apply Capital for such purposes Incorpora- tion and Amendment of Acts.) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that application is intended to be made to Parliament in the ensuing Session by the Wirral Railway Company (hereinafter called the Company ") for an Act for effecting: the purposes or some of the purposes following (that is to -say) To revive and extend the period limited by the Wirral Railway Act 1898 ae revived and extended by the Wirral Railway Act 1903 for the com- pulsory purchase of lands for the railways and works authorised by the said Act of 1898 and also to extend the time limited by the said Act of' 1898 as extended by the Act of 1903 for the con- struction and completion of the said railways and works. To further oxtend the time for the sale by the Company of all or any superfluous lands acquired or held by them under the authority of their former Acts which are described in the schedule to the Wirral Railway Act 1903 and which are not or eventually may not be required for the purposes of their Undertaking and to confer further powers on the Company in relation to the said lands; to enable the Company to sell and dispose of the lands which have been or may be acquired by them or some part or parts thereof for building or other purposes or to grant build- ing or other leases of the said lands or any part or parte thereof or to dispose of lease or let. the said lands or any part or parte thereof on ground rente chief rents or otherwise and at such rente and said lands or any part or parts thereof on ground rente chief rents or otherwise and at such rente and on such terms and conditions as the Company may think proper and so far as is necessary to alter amend and extend the provisions of the Lands Clauses Consolidation Act 1845 with reference to the sale of superfluous lands and to enable the Company to retain portions of land which may now be deemed superfluous notwithstanding any- thing in the said Act or in the Acts relating to the Company. To empower the Company to provide acquire own work equip and use Motor Cars Omnibuses and other Vehicles worked by electrical mechanical or animal power and to use and employ the same in and for the conveyance of passengers passengers' luggage goods and parcels in connection with or in extension of their railway system and to and from any Hotel of the Company and to and from any Station on their system and intermediate plaoee on the route along which any such motor cars omnibuses or other vehicles may be run and to and from any such intermediate places and for making tours or circuits from their hotels and railway stations to places of interest, and to demand and take fares and charges for, such purposes. To empower the Company to make and carry into effect oontracts and agreements with any Company or person having or using such motor cars omnibuses or vehicles with reference to the conveyance of such passengers' luggage, goods and parcels as aforesaid, or the supply and working thereof, and to confirm and give effect to any agreement which may have been or may be made prior to the passing of the intended Act. To authorise the Company to apply to the purposes of the intended Act or otherwise for the purposes of the Company any capital or funds belonging to the Company and particularly in regard to the working running and equipment of motor cars or vehicles in connection with their Railway in such manner iui may be prescribed by the Bill. To incorporate with the Bill all or some of the provisions of the Companies Clauses Consolidation Act, 1845. the Companies Clauses AotB, 1863 and 1869, the Land Clauses Acts, the Railways Clauses Consolidation Act. 1845, and the Railways Clauses Acts, 1863 and 1869, and so far as may be neces- sary for any of the purposes thereof, the Bill will alter, amend, and enlarge and repeal all or some of the provisions of the Hoylake Railway Act. 1863, the Hoylake and Birkenhead Railway and Tramways Act, 1872, and the Hoylake and Birkenhead Rail and Tramways Act. 18T3, the Seacombo Hoylake and Deeside Railway Acts, 1881, 1882. 1886 and 1890. the Wirral Railway (Transfer) Act, 1889, the Wirral Railway (Amal- gamation) Act, 1891, the Wirral Railway Certifi- cate, 1883. the Wirral Railway Acts, 1884. 1885. 1888, 1890, 1893 1895. 1898, 1900 and 1903, and any other Acts relating to the Wirral Railway Company. To vary or extinguish all rights and privileges which would interfere with the objects of the intended Act, and to confer other rights and privileges.
