The Rlbvl organisatiion appears to be under the 'speJil df delfeat's from, home, for on Satur- day last they were again, decisively beaten by hree goals to nil at Niarrtwidh. Unforitunaltely for the visiting, te>aim, they were minus the services of T. Robert's, T. VVlAlianis, anid Jenkins, and sub^tlit-uit-es were requsi-aiiti-oii'ed. Tha Cheshire teami were well represented, and when that is sitated all visiting tealm s must ex- pect a warm encounter at that 'town.. In faidt, tlhereare very :few trains wtbvdhi leave the Nantwiidb ground ydotoriou's, and some elevens of far greater merit than themselves have unluickBly fallen a prey to the tririky work of the 'Nia.nitwi.ldh forwards. North Wales and Manchester Railway Service. A Promising Improvement. IN consequence of a general feeling among travellers between Manchester aud Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, and other Welsh coast towns that' the present train service is much slower than it need be, and that the journey migjit easily be completed in an hour and fifty minutes, Mr Evan Roberts, jun., of Manchester, recently put himself in communication with a large number of holders of cortract tickets between these places and the local author itieson the Welsh coast with the object of securing an improvement. The matter was hearti'y taken up, especially by the Rhyl and Colwyn Bay Councils, and on Tuesday last a petition was presented to the Company asking for an acceleration of the service between Manchester and Llandudno, particularly in connection with the 4.5 p.m. train from Manchester to Llandudno and the 8 a.m. train from Llandudno to Manchester. On Saturday Mr Roberts received a communica- tion from the Company stating "It is our desire that you should have the best possible service, and we will see whether we cannot from the first of February arrange for the 4-5 p.m. train from Man- chester to leave at 4-15 p.m., as you suggest, and get into Llandudno about the same time, an j also whether we cannot woik the 8 a.m. train from Llandudn.o to Manchester a little quicker." Though the improvement promised is slight, it has given satisfaction to the memorialists as a step in the right direction. Further negotiations, however, are going on bv which it is hoped the time may be yet further shortened.
