ST. ASAPH BOARD OF GUARDIANS. THE ABERGELE RELIEVING OFFICCRSHiP. At the meeting of this Board, held to-day week, Mr J. Frirnston, lthyl, presided. THE ABERGELE RELIEVING 'OFFICER- SHIP. The Ciiairnian stated that the Visiting Committee, tog-ether with tHe Ahcrgclc Guard- ians had sat to go through the 73 applications received for the vacant position of relievi,tig- officer for the Abergeie dust riot, and had de- cided to recommend four applicants to appear before the Board for final selection. It was stated, in reply to questions, that all the selected candidates knew Wehoi. The following appeared before the Board: -A-lr Robert Hughes, Grots, Carnarvon Mr Peter George Jones, Warren-road, Rhyl; Mr J. Ellis Williams, The Roe. St. Astph-, and Mr Ed. Willia.ms, The Wacn. In proposing- that Mr J. E. Williams be ap- pointed, Mr T. Evans ;aid that he considered Mr Williams had had experience in the work during the eight years he had acted as de- puty. Mr Robert Jones (Prestatyn) seconded, and said he had noticed t.he very coneeieJiitious way in which Mr Williams bad done his work. Mr John Roberts proposed, and Mr S. Per&s" seconded Mr Jones. Mr J. W..Jon proposed Mr Ed. Williams, but no one seconded. A vote was the.n taken as follows- For Mr J. E. Williams: Messrs Ellis, T. Evajis, Jcxhn Jones, Griffiths, W. S. Roberts, B. Jones, O. Rees, H.
