Crickhowell, Devynock, and Hay and Talgarth Scholarship Districts. THE Examination for Entrance Scholarships, tenable at a County School, will be held on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 25th, 1919. at 10 a.m.. at the following Centres :— Crickhowell District The Church of England School. Crickhowell. Devynock District The Endowed School, Devynock. Hay and Talgarth District: The Council School, Talgarth. The Scholarships will consist of total exemption from tuition fees. The Governors of each District will award such number of Scholarships as they may hereafter determine, to those children who (1) Are resident in the School District. (2) Have, for not less than three years immediately preceding the award, been scholars in any Public Elementary School. (3) Will not have attained 13 years of age on the 30th June next. (4) Shall attend the school regularly for at least twelve months, and give a term's notice before leaving. SCHOLARSHIP AUGMENTATION AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE. The Governors may, if they have sufficient funds for the purpose, augment the value of the County Scholarships they may also award Maintenance Allowances to those applicants who, in the opinion of the Governors, shall, from their pecuniary circumstances, be most in need of them, and not on the result of an examination.
