THE Agricultural Wages Board (Eng- land and Wales) hereby give Notice as required by paragraph 4 of the Agri- cultural Wages Regulations, 1918, that they propose to make the following Order :— (l) In the case of any workman em- ployed in agriculture in the area com- prising the administrative counties of Brecknock and Radnor who, under an agreement with his employer, is entitled in each half-year either to a week's holiday on full pay or a week's work on double pay, the provisions of the Orders of the Wages Board, dated the 18th February and the 16th May, 1919, that in addition to any other employment which ranks as overtime employment under any Order of the Wages Board all employment in excess of Ii hours on a Saturday or on such other day (not being Sunday) in every week, as may be agreed between the employer and the workman, except time spent on such day by Stock- men of any class in connection with the feeding and cleaning of stock, shall also Z, I rank as overtime employment, shall no longer apply. The Agricultural Wages Board, as re- quired by paragraph 4 of the above- mentioned Regulations, will consider any objections to the above proposed Order which may be lodged with them within one month from the date of this notice. T'HE Household Fuel and Lighting ■ Committee of the Llanwrtyd Wells Urban District Council under the powers of the above Order have fixed the following Schedule of Prices (with the approval of the Coal Controller) as the Maximum Prices of Coal in the Urban District of Llanwrtyd Wells, the said Schedule to come into operation on the 18th day of January, 1919, namely :— HOUSE COAL.—Group I. Holly Bush | 4 cwt and Tredegar > Cribbwr Fawr J ^2/6 per ton. Not exceeding 2 cwt., 2/2-per cwt. Group II. Oak wood Vipond 4l/G per ton. Bargoed j Not exceeding 2 cwt., 2/2 per cwt. The Maximum Price of any Coal not included in Groups I and II above shall be 4/6 per ton over and above the Invoice Price of such Coal delivered at Llanwrtyd Wells Railway Station. Haulage charges must not exceed the current rate for team labour in the District. Merchants are authorised to make an additional charge not exceeding 1/- per ton where credit is given for more than seven days, but this provision shall not apply to quantities of less than 4 cwts. Rees, who is in charge of the parish during the absence of the Rector, had the misfortune to fall as he was coming down the Church belfry steps, and gave his right ankle such a severe sprain that there was the probability of his bein" unable to take the Sunday services. He very pluckily carried out his duties nevertheless, having to be carried to the Church, and took the service from a seat placed at the chancel steps.
