CARXO. MONTGOMERYSHIRE CONGREGATIONAL ASSOCIA- TION.—The annual meetings of this association were held at Carno on W ednesday and Thursday week. Rev J. Jones, of Machynlleth, was voted to the chair, and amongst those present were Revs J. R. Thomas, Meifod: W. Caradog Jones, Oswestry; W. L. Evans, Penybontfawr; D. Jones, Llansilin T. L. Martin, Llanidloes; J. Idrisyn Jones, Welshpool; and G. Griffiths, Newtown; Messrs C. R. Jones, Llanfyllin D. Pugh, Carno; E. 'Hughes, LIanbryumair; E. Rees, Carno, &c.~ Revs D. Jones, Llansilin. and G. Griffiths, Newtown, were app.int.ed delegates to the North Wales Tem- perance Association.—Mr C. R. Jones proposed a resolution condemning the Education Bill. The mction was seconded, and carried unanimously.The nest meeting was fixed for Llanerfyl.—Mr C. R. Jones gave notice that he would at the next quarterly meeting pi-opose that a series of lectures be delivered in the county during the winter months on the principles of Congregationalism.— At a society meeting, over which Rev. D. Jones, Llansilin, presided, the Rev. Josiah Jones read an interesting paper ou history of the association in the last 40 years.—At a second meeting of the association it was decided that next year the association should meet at Welshpool.
